How much does this forum influence your decisions?
Just thinking girls, how much do you think the forum and our members' experiences influence your surgery decisions? For example, did you have a heart set on a surgeon but then decided to go with another because someone on here recommended them? Or did you decide a certain size only to change your mind and go bigger/smaller?
Just a purely inquisitive question, I know that the web helped me decide on my surgeon and size, I don't know how I would have done it otherwise!
Also, if you have consulted with a surgeon on the back of someone's comments, what type of member were they? mod? Newbie? Addict? Does that have a bearing?
Will be interesting to see your opinions!

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
only thing that i changed opinion on since being on here was the size, as many say they wish they went slightly bigger, so i went for a bigger implant due to this so i didnt feel that way afterwards, i was going for a 445 but surgeon put in 475 instead, but i hope i wont regret going any bigger lol But that is all he was willing on the day so probably best, so size of implant for me was a big factor from talking on here xxx
Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I cannot put into words what I have got out of this forum xx
My only wish is that I had found this site earlier and educated myself a bit more prior to parting with my hard earned cash and embarking on this journey xx
I think this site has kept me sane, answered my questions, been there for me, supported me throughout and on top of all that I have 'met' some fantastic friends and I am really proud to be a part of it xx

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I would have booked with the first surgeon I saw if it wasn't for BJSF.
I happened onto this forum by chance when googling my surgeon and I realised that I didn't have nearly enough info to go ahead and book. Finding BJSF made me research more and advised me to look at other surgeons before making up my mind. I am so grateful for the help and support I've got from all the ladies on here.
In the end I decided to go with a different company and a different surgeon.

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I also came across this website whilst googling a couple of surgeons with whom I had consultations booked. It's been an invaluable source of information. I'm not sure whether it has influenced my decisions, but it's certainly made sure that I've considered things I may not have otherwise.
I'm still pre-BA so I'm constantly checking what everyone else says and reading their experiences to make sure there's nothing else I've missed!
It's also a fantastic place to chat with like-minded people - I'm sure that my friends are sick to death with hearing about my boobs! x

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
this forum hasn't changed or influenced my decision as i'd already decided my surgeon and size before coming on here!! this forum has however put my mind at ease a hell of a lot and helped me to understand a few of the things i may go through.
without this forum i'd have no friends left its stopped me driving them crazy lol xx

This forum has helped me so much to reassure myself in my choices,
Sometimes you know what you want but hearing someone else confirm it means that it's ok! Does that even make sense?!
Thank you all so much for your words of wisdom! Xx

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
This forum has helped me no end, not so much with my choice of surgeon or implant size but more with questions I have had after the surgery and some before.
While this is a BA forum and obviously thats what all memebers are here for its also helped me in other sections of this forum with lots of questions over the months I've been on here. So thanks admins, mods and all you lovely ladies! x

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I love this site! I've never been part of a forum before, or really spent much time on the internet until I found this, but now i usually check it every day!
My husband is now calling me a Geek!
It hasn't made me change my mind about my decisions but it's certainly given me many more questions to ask my surgeon on my next consultation that I would never have though of.
Thanks ladies!! xx

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I had already booked when I found this forum, and only had a few days to go.
I wish I had found it sooner, so I knew about haggling
And I would have prob gone up a size (my surgeon offered me to, but I didn't want to look fake, but on second thoughts) and after reading experiences on here would have gone for the extra!!
I am really happy with my size now as I had nothing before, so something is better than nothing. But given the choice again, I would have that little bit extra. (what is an extra 50cc!!?!! lol)

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I now know what surgeons i want to book consultations with from reading posts on here you find out about reputable companies/suregeons. Also rough prices and how to haggle
I know alot more about after surgery/healing/complications etc that i didnt have a clue about before which surprised me abit at first
I now know round implants arnt always fake looking as i first thought! I thought i wanted anatomicals 100% but now am thinking rounds will be fine if the surgeon thinks so
The most important thing ive learned is theres more than just thinking i want a boob job and going and getting it done and then you have lovely boobs right away - i know theres alot of research, alot of healing and fluffing afterwards
would just like to say a big thankyou to everyone whose answered my questions on here and helped me so far xxx

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I would like to "quote " everyone who has posted above and just reiterate how very very useful I have found BJSF and all if it's Mods and members..
I found it helped me with sizing issues -- mostly though having someone relate to struggles and strains of having a BA is priceless , never having to feel alone or like u can't speak openly about the problems we can all face physically and emotionally , u can see from the amount if topics iv created just how valuable the opions of the members are to me, ,
On BJSF someone is ALWAYS listening

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
I'd already booked, so it didn't change my decision, but it did massively help inform me of what to expect etc and was a huge support in times of worry. I do wish I'd found it earlier, and it may have had more sway if i had. But regardless, it's been an huge help both pre and post!

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
A lot!
I'm not British and found it really difficult for me to find a serious surgeon here in the UK. So many traps to fall in to...
But after I found this forum I soon realised Cookie knows a lot about these things so I simply stole her "next to be surgeon"
The support from this forum also made me brave enough to go trough with the surgery. (I'm quite scared of hospitals)
Without this forum I would still have long & saggy boobs

Re: How much does this forum influence your decisions?
this site kept me sane and incredibly informed in the run up to my BA! especially since i didn't have much support outside the forum, i was able to share all my excitement and concerns here!
the most valuable support i received here was when i was having a massive wobble and thinking about calling the whole thing off.. all the girls here really really helped me and gave me the strength to go through with it - one of the best things i've ever done! x
