Re: October Buddies!
Well girls I am still at highgate, got really sick feeling and started to get a lot of pain in my left boob, so have had tramadol, followed by morphine injection and then a paracetamol drip. Surgeon said I could go about 2 but staying here longer until pain subsides, hopefully should be off at 6 after another tramadol! Lucky me hey! A doctor came to see me and had a go at me and made me cry and told me to get over it, so complaint will be going in when I feel up to it. Apart from the pain tho which I did expect all has gone v well, can't really see sizes yet but I can't fit my hand round them, takes 2 now, woo!
Good luck for the rest of the October club, you'll be just fine, this is m first ever op and it was absolutely fine, the ga was great, best sleep I've had in days!

Re: October Buddies!
Congrats ladies! I agree, can't believe the Doctor told you off... I would have cried! You already feel quite vulnerable after an op its the last thing you needed. Def a complaint required.
Claire, you crack me up with your account of the GA! :heehee: I'm so scared but it actually sounds quite nice and am sure I have nothing to worry about! xx

Re: October Buddies!
I dreamt under ga as well, can't remember it but was really warm and fuzzy when I came round! The dr basically had a go at me because I wanted tramadol to take home as cocodamol made me sick codridamol doesn't work for me, I said I'd used it when I'd had a migraine before and he had a go at me for not putting migraines down on my form when I arrived (it wasn't on my admission form but I am not seeing dr for them, I just get them) and he said well clearly you can't be that bothered if you didn't even put it on the form. He tried to give me liquid cocodamol and I said no and he said if you can't swallow tablets you have to have that - I told nurse a tablet needed to be broken in half cos I had a sore throat! Later he came back and started talking over me while I tried to describe my pain and then told me to get over it, I felt really upset like I was overrecating but I didn't let him see me cry, just had a few tears when he left. However, didn't spoil the overall day, and I will be complaining which I'm really good at!
Had a sneaky measure when I got home, I know this won't be final size but I'm measuring 34dd which is exactly what I want! Hopefully they'll fall into shape and retain the size! I have 34dd sports bras as a Macom back up so that's really handy!
Good luck to girls having their op soon, don't let my bad experience put you off as this guy was the exception rather than the rule. It massively helped having someone with me though, as you don't know how you'll feel, I had to get helped on and off bed, getting dressed and using loo! Plus company helps pass the time!
Sorry for the essay! Enjoy the day october girls!

Re: October Buddies!
Just Quick question if you don't mind sweets to nikitaw86,
I have bought the same size bra as you but in blue :) was wondering do you find that that the back size comes up a little small to your usual size? I JUST ABOUT FIT INIT NOW, just worried if I would need a larger back size due to swelling, I was told to get a 34 if I am a 34 and not bigger by my nurse if I WANTED TO HEAL QUICKER not sure if the bra size realy helps any idea? thank you sweets :)

Re: October Buddies!
i would suggest goin up a size round the back as i'm a 32 again now but with swelling after surgery and my belly swelled from just under boobs 34 fit nicely i still where them now but on tightest u only need the cup support and i think you may be in agony if ur swollen and trying to wear same size bra as usual my nurse actually told me go up a band size :) xx
