Which post op bra
Hi girls
I'm getting very confused by which sort of post op bra I'll need. My PS has just said to buy a 34 D sports bra....but when I look there are so many options.... I know it has to be without underwire but after that I’m lost.
I went to M&S yesterday - there are about a million options (far too many for me!!) low impact, medium, high, extra high, all with different backs – bl00dy hell, why so many??? On top of this I noticed they also sell ‘post surgery’ bras. Again I don’t know whether these are any good......can anyone help with my questions please?
· How many bras should I take into hospital?
· Which sports bra are the best?
· Can I use the M&S post surgery bras or just a sports bra?
Thanks girlies xx

Re: Which post op bra
hey
go for high impact sports bra and just get them out the pack and see if they feel soft enough for u!!
you can however also buy the proper surgical bras there are a few different types but from what i've read the macom post ba bra is the best as u only have to order ur band width and the bra stretches with ur implants. There are also the z bra but its more expensive and u order in the size so if u end up slightly bigger/smaller afterwards its a lot of money to have wasted
personally i've ordered one macom and 1 post op bra from marks and spencers and will have some money tucked away to send someone to the shops for me if i need a smaller/larger size once i'm home xx

The Macom bra has been my saviour you don't need to know bust size just your back size. Honestly out of all the sports bras this us the one I think is the most comfy. They have a website where you order them from x

Re: Which post op bra
Thanks for the advice girlies, no one in M&S would help me yesterday......always best to go straight to experts on BJSF hey?!
I’m in work at the moment (better watch my time on the net today, its monitored lol!) so I’ve only had a quick look at the Macom bras, they sound very good – not the most flattering of bras for £35 but if they do the job it will be well worth the money. I think I’ll order one after work and maybe get a M&S post surgery bra also.
Thanks dawnmids I’ll be looking on EBAY too, that’s a bargain price!!
Thanks everyone xxxx

Sorry to hear you are in pain hun, I can’t offer too much advice as I am yet to have my surgery but wanted to send you some
Do you have anyone with you to help for a few days? You should be relaxing and being treated like a princess for a few days whilst recovering xx

Re: Which post op bra
I bought shock absorber (level 4) and I love them!!!! I bought a couple of cheap asda and tescos ones and they are comfortable but they dont give me anywhere near the amount of support that the shock absorber ones do. Good luck finding one your happy with

Re: Which post op bra
I bought some from M&S - they were total support non-underwired ones. I found I couldn't get a 34 back in an E cup in sports bra in M&S. So I went for these. They were soooo comfy and really supportive, but got a bit saggy as my swelling went down. So I bought a couple of Asda sports bras (£4!!!) and they've been really good and I find them really supportive.
