girlies it's day 3, i woke up today in sooo much pain. My left boob feels really really tight and almost tooo heavy to stay in me if that makes sense. I'm uncomfortable and even with parecetomol and ibuprofen i have a horrid headache, high temp and feel grotty!!!!!
i just didnt realise i'd feel this awful, sure i felt bad yesterday and day before BUT never thought i'd feel even worse today. Was proud of my recovery until now.
Mums going out to buy me a new sports bra coz this one is rubbing and I'm soooo itchy aswell!! I hate not being fit and healthy, i wanna shower, i wanna scrub and feel normal. I AM SOOOOOO IRRITATED WITH MYSELF

ah babe i hope u feel better soon. i am still waiting for my op but i have heard it is normal to feel low after, just recovering from surgery takes a lot out of you and it feels horrible not to be able to wash and stuff. make sure you haven't got an infection tho...if u have high temp and pain in your boob maybe u should get checked out by the docs? xxx

Hi Renz,
Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good - I haven't been through it myself yet so can't offer any personal advice. But I have read that day 3 is usually the worse, so if you can just get through today then you'll probably be on your way up! :) . Might be worth checking with your PS about the high temperature though ...
Try not to feel irritated with yourself - a few weeks from now this will have all faded away to a distant memory and you'll be able to start enjoying your new

Did you see Adam Topping on the TV last night?? He seems very nice!

Day 3 and 4 was the worst for me hun, you will feel really sluggish and quiet down aswell from all the meds.
Hang in there you will start to feel much better by the time the weeks out.

You should have been given antibiotics to take home to avoid any risk of infection... did you? and are you keeping up with those? If the temperature continues definitely check with your nurse. However only really worry if your painful boob becomes big and red... Hope you feel better soon hun xxx

no moonmar, i received no antibiotics...now i'm worried :( i had loads injected in me in hosp but didnt take any away.
annie66, no what what mr topping on last night?? i missed him on tv :( loved him as a doc....just wish he hadn't made me painful

He was on Channel 4's 'Embarassing Bodies' - did a reduction for an 18 year old who had 30 JJs!

Renz not everyone is given antibiotics hun, there was another post somewere about this i will see if i can find it but a lot of ladies are given a high dose through the cannula before you leave.
However as MM said keep on top of your temperature just in case.

i'm gonna watch it now...currently watching my mates on 60min makeover which is slightly cheering me up!! LOL.....

True! I thought after I'd posted the link that it might be best to leave it until you're feeling a bit better -
It's not that graphic, but perhaps you can get your mum just to find the bits where Mr T is
talking to camera, but not actually operating!Do you have any funny DVDs you could watch? I always feel better after I've had a laugh!

I had a rough time too.... I even felt regret and guilt and was shocked at how much pain I was in,
I'm on day 7 now, I'm not going to say I feel "good" but compared to my worst days (prob day 3 and 4)
I feel amazing, I can sit myself up and poor my drinks ans walk around, yesterday I showered alone and washed and straightened my hair
(With difficulty) you're nearly there now, I think you may be being panicky about the heavy boob,
Any noises that wouldn't normally scare me make me jump and feel upset, its the ga, messes us up a bit. I still feel dizzy and tired and strange
But soooooo much better than the worst days. The best thing you can do is sleep I think. We are here for you. :) xxxxxxxxxx

erm...am i being naughty? i've been able to sit up and walk around from day 1...admitedly i've gotta be sitted up on sofa/bed all the time but am fine walking to kitchen or toilet

Day 3 was the worst for me soreness wise, remember uplifts are more painful hun, you will feel better soon, i was given antibiotics at the hospital too not taken away x

thanx nads....i see u as a boobie expert so that helps....thought i was being ignored or something with the antibiotics...and I am being silly, i've had a serious op, of course I'm not 100% just yet.....just put up some before and after pics if u wanna see.... pm me for details- admitedly i'm swollen and covered in dressings at the mo lol x

You must've got antibiotics dont worry but you can always call the hospital and ask them to put your mind at ease, how high is your temp? Are your breasts warm or hot? Would luv to see pics hun x

temp has settle this afternoon....but has been very high all morning. boobs feel hot to touch and warm inside.....will pm u now x

I can tell you're going to have some amazing new boobies hun! They look a great size on you hun. Keep an eye on the temp of the boobs and look out for any unusual swelling/redness, whens your post op appointment? x

Hey renz, sorry to hear your not feeling so good!! Like the others said days 3-4 are the worst saying that i felt pretty awful for the first week. Everyone is different. Look after yourself, xxx
