It's mostly swelling hun, there is noo way on earth you have over eaten to the extreme. It's impossible, give it a bit more time and you will see it come off. Also if you are feeling lazy, go for little walks. Also eating lots of healthy food fresh fruit and veg will not only ensure you dont pile on the lbs, it's actually really good for your boobie recovery as they need to the vitamins to heal
Re: i'm really sad and need help from fitness people
ps you also have a case of boobie blues, it usually lasts a couple of days, you will start to feel yourself soon.
Re: i'm really sad and need help from fitness people

I wouldn't freak out about needing to lose actual "weight". It won't actually be stored body fat you've put on, it'll be the fact you're still a bit bogged up inside, and probably retaining loads of water, and all that kind of fun stuff!
As misf1 said - make sure you eat healthy, and get up for little walks (as that helps get things moving) and it'll all disappear soon enough. xx

I work in fitness huni, u probably have got water retention and boosting from not pooing regularly!
The best exercises from abs are flat leg raises, ab crunches with twist and normal ones, also try contracting ur abs for unto 10 second holds even when ur laying in bed!
Make sure when ur doing ab exercises u breath out on the effort.... When ur lifting up, otherwise if u reverse breathe it will give u Doming of that area xx

Hiya. Thanks for letting me see your pics today - you look absolutely fabulous and certainly have no worries about your weight. I, on the other hand, have been pigging out since my op and really need to stop - although I have found that the old boobies balance out my curves nicely so less hung up on weight - altho will be a right fattie soon if I don't stop - lol! Seriously tho, once we can exercise it should get everything moving and sort us out. I am thinking of taking up Zumba as soon as I get the ok from my PS - meant to be great fun x

Re: i'm really sad and need help from fitness people
There wont be much you can do at this point in your recovery, I would just suggest going for walks, if you can go twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening its even better.
Cut out all junk, high fat foods, and simple carbs like white bread and pasta... eat lots of veg and salad and lean meats and fish. Its also very important to eat small meals regularly, like every three hours. If you keep a stash of protien shakes and low carb protien bars they are great to tide you over between meals. IT is better to eat something than go long stretches between meals! Finally drink LOTS of water. xx

Hi hon, weight loss is 80% what you put in your mouth and 20% exercise.
I am the size I am purely controlled by kilojoule intake - I NEVER exercise and I am not a naturally thin person, just very strong willed.
Work out the weight you want to be (be realistic) and then work out the kilojoule intake per day of a person of your desired weight.
Get some cheap scales (a $10 supermarket set will do) and only eat the amount of kilojoules you are allwed per day. It's not WHAT you eat so much as HOW MUCH you eat.
You can lose the weight easily in five weeks if you are honest to yourself and stick to the intake limit.
An example of my daily diet -
Smoothie in the morning (natural greek yoghurt, berries, honey and a bit of milk) all up comes to 1,500 kilojoules.
I have a lunch of hommus and crackers, soup, a baby-bel (or some other sort of dairy treat) and I eat about 2000 kilojoules all up for lunch. Spread the little meals out over the course of the day, you will feel like you are starving for the first week but you do get past that.
So that brings me to 3,500 kilojoules throughout the day. I eat 6000 kilojoules a day so I have 2500 kilojoules left for dinner. My partner is Italian so it is usually pasta and garlic bread. Again, I weigh everything. If I sprinkle cheese on it - yep, you guessed it! - I weigh it.
I ALWAYS leave about 400 kilojoules for after dinner which is a couple of Oreo's or some jelly beans, M&M's or something because I am a junk food junkie and I cannot deprive myself :)
You will find that you will be full from the amount you eat and you will be shocked at how much you overeat (if you are indeed over eating and you aren't just incredibly swollen, which is quite likely!)
I have helped numerous people get their eating on track and I am more than happy to help you further (PM me if you need help setting up, menu ideas etc) if you want it, but you need to be dedicated to the cause!

Re: i'm really sad and need help from fitness people
it's all swelling. do not do any exercises right now. you can mess up your new girls! walking helps get the fluid moving through your body and out your kidneys.
most everyone swells up after surgery. the pump you full of fluids, in addition to your body in sort of a "shock" it will retain the fluids.
lower your sodium intake, drink MORE water, this will help flush your system and also help i you are constipated at all.
my sweeling magically disappeared one day...i'd say around day 10 it happened for me!

Re: i'm really sad and need help from fitness people
I too have gained weight hun and I'm 11 days post op and havent massively pigged out either - just been inactive and eaten more 'bad' foods than usual.
I didnt mean to weigh myself but my friend asked to use my scales to weigh her luggage so i just hopped on and am at least 7/8lbs more than usual!
Its hard not to freak out feel out of control. Plus if youve got boobie blues like alot of us (including me) its difficult to imagine your body going back to normal etc when everything feels so different and you feel vulnerable. Your boobs in your avatar look amazing and you are not overweight anyway so I am sure sure sure you will bounce back and get in shape over the next few weeks!
Please try not to worry or feel you have to do anything drastic. you are healing and fragile and your body is in need of extra nourishment and energy. Just wait a cpl of weeks xxx

Good idea! Don't worry it'll be off in no time. I was 10lbs heavier post op and was mortified! I looked 9 months pregnant! But it soon disappeared I just ate heathier and drank plenty of water to help with my constipation! :) xx

Re: i'm really sad and need help from fitness people
after my ba, I noticed i was soooo bloated n i felt huge like a whale!!! i dont hav any scales, so even though i couldnt weigh myself, i could feel that i was bigger.....
after about 2 weeks, i flt like myself again, it was basically swelling n bloat from pain meds etc, so it will eventually go. Its good that you said you have started being able to go to the toilet, so hopefully, you will feel better soon Get your bowls moving by going for long walks, it will make you feel more positive straight away!!!

I was bloated for a few weeks after my op. I wouldn't suggest any exercise until you're 14 days post op.
