Hi... I'm supposed to be getting my surgery early September but I'm soooo scared.. I'm supposed to have it done under and thru the nipple.. Can anyone share and comfort me.. Will you feel like there is something foreign inside of you? Or like you are wearing a very tight bra ? Will I loose the sensation for good ?

I would read this section of the forum hun. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

No you dont feel like their is something foreign inside of you, but it does take a little while for them to feel part of you and then you dont even notice they're there. It is very rare that you will lose sensation in your breasts, but you may get a few numb patches here and there, which you wont even notice.

They only do silicone in the UK, I have textured. My incision is in my breast crease, it is almost invisible now.

ok.. my doctor wants to use the textured because of capsulare contraction.. he made me feel the implants.. i felt that the soft ones are aloooot softer than textured.. but he stopped using them..
also i read that the textured can cause some rippling ? did it happen.. i called him and he told me if it concerns you i will make sure not to let it happen

They feel almost natural. Yes textured can cause rippling in some instances, but they are not usually extreme. I have not felt implants with a smooth surface, were they saline?

no they were cohesive silicon exactly like the textured filling.. but the shell is soft.. like a plastic bag.. but they have a higher percentage for capsular contraction.. but they are amaaaaazing.. soooo soft !!! i want them :( but my doctors refused.. plus im worried about capsular contraction..
so you have rippling ? my friend has but they show in certain position..

Are you having under or over the muscle hun?

If you have little body fat or little breast tissue you will have under the muscle.

If you have some breast fat already and some body fat, you will have overs.

It's important to have the placement that's the right one for you, if you don't it could cause other complications, so listen to your surgeon babe. If you are a candidate for going under the muscle this will lessen risk of capular contracture. xx

I do not have any rippling no. Maybe the implants you seen are not used anymore as their shell is too thin, which may be why they feel so soft or the gel is too runny? \Where are you having your op?

Thank you Donny Worried about getting BA 48411

In answer to your question about pain and unders -

Some say they suffer pain from going under the muscle, others get on just fine, Jen86 breezed through her recovery with unders with no pain at all!

The pain is always bearable though and described more as discomfort than pain.

Forgive me for saying hunni but I think you're over analysing everything
sweetheart and you're going to end up in a real state as you search for
more and more problems. Yes there are risks from this surgery, but if
you chose a good surgeon, checked his/her qualifications out as well as
searched for past reviews and asked to see before and after pics of
their work and you are satified with your research then you firstly know
your in good hands, secondly check out the clinic and search for any
reviews about it if you're again happy, you know you have the best for
you, thirdly check out any aftercare/insurance they offer, believe me no
matter how good your surgeon is, there is ALWAYS the risk of a
complication post-op and you need to cover yourself in the event that
you are that person, so check everything, including the small print then
should you suffer a complication you'll know you're in good hands to
have a re-op and get on with your life again. You should also know that
chances are no matter what, in the nest ten years theres a good
possibility you will need to have a re-op anyway, implants don't last a
lifetime even if they have lifetime coverage, so be prepared for that
also hun.

I'm not trying to frighten you hunni and I apologise if what I've said
has upset you but be sure you have done everything pre-op to ensure
you're getting the best for your body post-op and you should be just
fine babe, theres a very small possibility there may be a complication,
but when you have a surgeon you trust being there for you, all will OK
sweetheart, trust in your surgeon.
