3 mths post op, 4-5 wks pregnant, kinda devastated Empty 3 mths post op, 4-5 wks pregnant, kinda devastated

Post by doubleD 7th August 2011, 10:51 am

Hi all, I got a BA almost three months ago (this website was my saviour then as I wasn't telling too many people about it) and am now an amazing 10F and am so in love with them (can't believe I was even worried about getting them done, or that I waited to do it!) but have just found out that I'm about four to five weeks pregnant!! I know it sounds so selfish but I'm kinda devastated for my new boobs - I just wanted to enjoy them for a year or so first!! My partner thinks it's great so I know that I should be happy too, but am so worried they'll be ruined... :( :( :(
If you don't put on too much weight do you think you can avoid your boobs stretching or sagging? I'm planning on wearing supportive bras also too! I see martina792004 recently posted on a similar topic, but I didn't want to cut in on her topic as she's so happy about it. I feel terrible being negative about it, but just don't know what to do to change how I feel... Don't get me wrong, I know it's a blessing and sometimes I feel more positive but the negativity does seem to creep back in, I guess I've just never been that maternal! I try to be happy though cos I don't wanna rain on my partner's parade about it... help

Your boobs may not change too much, so try not to panic and definatly dont try not to put weight on, you really have to. But just wear a supportive bra and put lots of palmers or cream on your boobs.

Congrats on being pregnant lovely. It really doesn't have to be a bad thing for your boobs. As long as you don't put on too much weight they should be ok. X

i would suggest wearing a sportsbra throughout the pregnancy if you can, or as much as possible rather than a maternity bra.

Sorry its not the news you wanted at this stage. Like the other girls have said your boobs may not change much. As the volume from the implants won't change, unless you put on alot of weight your boobs might not be affected too much by sagging or stretch marks. If you aren't planning to breast feed you can take the tablets to dry your milk up after you have given birth. Weight gain during pregnancy is inevitable and healthy for you and your baby.

I wouldn't be upset if I got pregnant again I'm not planning on it as I've got my hands full but if it did happen I wouldn't be devastated for my boobs as I don't think they would be that badly affected. I'd just make sure they were really well supported like you have said. Good luck and congratulations!

the girls have given some really good advice here, as usual! I was worried about this too, i mean, i def dont want children yet!! but mayb in 8-10 years or so. I have wondered what the effects will be like. Everyone sounds sooo posistive, so i would just likke to say, relax and enjoy it, and you may not even notice any difference. x

I think as long as you eat healthy, tons of fruits and veggies, lean meat or fish and keep your weight within the amount your doctor suggests you won't put undue strain on your body or cause excessive weight gain.Gaining to much can be as bad as gaining to little. You want to have a healthy baby.Keep really moisterized on your boobs and tummy and that will help keep away stretch marks as well.I don't think they will change much from what I have read on here from the other ladies.

I bet you will feel better about things once your pregnancy progresses. It does change your life but I think it's one of the best changes a woman can experience.I hope all goes well for you Hun!Congratulations on your soon to be little one!

You should read jessica's diary in the boob diary, might help you to read someone else's experience who has been through the same thing xx

Congrats on the pregnancy hun, I know it can be mixed feelings when you find out, but it is lovely news. As for your new boobs, I think its hard to know what will happen, but I think there is probably a really good chance they will be just fine, especially with it being your first, and you gain a healthy amount of weight.

One of the members on here had a baby a little while ago after having her boobs done and sh kept a pregnancy diary on here, you could have a read through that I am sure she talks about how her boobies coped with the pregnancy.

Best of luck with it all! xx

Its jessica's diary, should be really helpful because it goes from when she found out she was pregnant to having the baby. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine! : ) xxx

Hi Hun x I had a ba before having my first child x neither pregnancy or 6 weeks of breast feeding ruined my boobs!! Then had to undergo an emergency reop during my 2nd pregnancy and again my boobs were not ruined by pregnancy in any way. Eat healthily, keep fit and you will soon get your beautiful figure back and will have a wonderful new baby who will bring you a lifetime of joy xxx. Good luck Hun x
