Is it risky to come out the same day as surgery?
Hello
Have any of you girls had your surgery and gone home the same day?
MYA are saying its fine and will do the opp for £3700
TRANSFORM are saying they dont agree and its to dangerous to allow you home the same day they will do it for £3795 for a over night stay on the condition that I pay £2000 by the end of the month.
I feel even more confused now, as I would love to go home the same day Im really not looking forward to being away from home and my family.
I also feel a bit scared now, shes got me thinking about the whole am I going to die thing!
The lady from Transform was a absolute bumhole in all honesy Seemed snotty and abrupt her voice getting posher and fake the more questions I asked!! She has left me feeling at ransom.
Its nothing to do with the £100 its about what I want and is it really risky to come out the same day surely MYA wouldnt have offered me this if it was risky
I need to speak to MYA tomorrow I have left a message and she text to say she would speak to me first thing,She was very polite down to earth and helpful

Re: Is it risky to come out the same day as surgery?
hi peggysue,
i went with transform (the one in crosby, manchester hotel) i asked if i could come out the same day and they said this was fine as long as the surgeon was ok with it. i came out on the same day and i was absolutely fine. so if you would rather go home you will be ok, all they said to me is you have to live within 40 mins of the hospital because if there is an emergency you have to be able to get back in as soon a possible

Hello,
I had mine done by Transform on Saturday and I couldn't have imagined going home the same day. Its just that I was extremely drowsy and uncomfortable however I guess it is a personal choice and if the offer is there then you can make an informed decision. Good luck with whatever course you take

I had mine done with transform and came out after a few hours and I was fine. Do I think your pc is lying. Never trust them to tell the truth. If you were ill after your op with a day case they will keep you in anyway. I could not have standed staying there over night.

Im having mine done as a day case too, like what misf1 said, if theres any complications/concerns etc they'll just keep you in overnight anyway. If it was that dangerous then they wouldnt be allowed to let you go home the same day. xxx

I wouldnt say there are any more risks to be honest....if they felt you were not fit to go home most company's would keep you in overnight for free so you would be in safe hands.
My G.A took a VERY long time to ware off so I was given the option to stay overnight by my P.S but felt better by 7pmish so went to a near by hotel.
They will never put you at risk so if they are unsure they will keep you in to cover themselfs....

Re: Is it risky to come out the same day as surgery?
Hi Guys,
I'm paying $13,500 for my BA. That includes everything...
Do you think a large portion of this is the overnight stay?
My friend went in and out in a day and was fine... The surgery I am going to is a private clinic owned by the surgeon, he has his own mini hospital there and they just said I stay overnight, it was never an option and I always thought I would leave the same day (I wouldn't like staying in a clinic overnight).
Am I getting ripped off? Im going to ask to leave that day, I hate beepy boopy hospital machines and their funny smells

Re: Is it risky to come out the same day as surgery?
I had BA and lift came out the same day and was fine. It is more common to come home the same day than it is to stay.
There are many surgeries performed in day surgery... And they don't discharge you until you are fine.
So dont worry you would be just fine as a day case.

BKOZ With MYA it would cost me £4295 for a overnight stay or £3850 for a Daycase. Im sure your not being ripped of ahve you researched other clincs and surgeons and compared there prices?

Re: Is it risky to come out the same day as surgery?
Im paying my deposit to secure my date for the 20th December as a day case Thanks your comments really did help my puzzled little brain.
My boyfriend also has concerns but we have agreed that if either of us have any concerns on the day we can always stay in a hotel near the hospital xxx

Hun I am with MYA (even tho I might have to cancel due to cash :-( )
and I know for a fact that they will not allow a day case if you live more than 40 minutes away from the hospital. However, if you are not well after the surgery they keep you in anyways free of charge. So you were right to book a day case hun. x

glad to see your all sorted with your decision. If for any reason they need to keep you in, they will do so with no extra cost either :) xxx
