Here is my dilema ladies! i was told by my PS im not allowed to drink for two weeks before and two weeks after surgery! TUrns out iv ended up not drinking 3 weeks before surgery..which is quite an achievement for myself lol... so the guys in my work would like to go on a night out, to welcome my new assets into the world. This will take place 12 days after surgery (just short of the no drinking 2 weeks after surgery wooopppsss) obviously im going to be 100% day and night with the sports bra for the 4 weeks iv been told by my PS, but was wondering if i would do any damage if i wore a non wired bra, just for that one night would it be a bad idea???? i wouldnt want to damage all the good work done for one night but would love it if they looked at least a little nicer for their first night out!!! any comments on this would be greatly appreciated!! xxx

Im sure you'll be fine for one night however whenever I have gone out I wear a dress with a little waist coat over to hide the bolder holder straps. Not ideal however I know that I will soon be back into normal bras.

I think its up to you hun, I'm sure for a few hrs a non wired cotton bra will be fine, I have been advised I can wear these full time from 6 weeks however I have decided to keep wearing my sports bras.

As for the drinking aspect, I'm sure you'll be fine. I believe they advised you not to drink as it can thin the blood (I'm sure someone will correct me if i am wrong) this is worst pre op however tends to have effect if you drink 48 hrs prior to surgery (alcohol leaves your system after this time) so as long as you have no hideous bleeding 12 days post op then having a few will be fine. Just don't get slaughtered and trying to swing yourself around a pole ha ha.

Have fun welcoming you new boobs.

Awww that you hun. Yep make sure you protect them lol, I am counting down the days until I can wear normal bras and show them off properly. Only 5 weeks and 5 days to go.

Have a brilliant night and good luck only 6 days to go...... Stars

Hello, I think it'd be okay, but maybe go easy on the dancing as you'll be getting less support than with a sports bra.

I went out on Saturday to a local festival thing, we didn't go anywhere busy so there was nobody banging into me or anything but my boobs were very sore in the morning!! I was 15 days post op. As for the bra, I find that my M&S sports bra is quite good to wear under clothes as it's quite low and i love it haha! I wore a playsuit and a denim waistcoat over it to hide the straps. Not sure I would risk wearin a normal bra?? xx

I would say go out with the group but NO dancing or swinging on the Poles (LOL) for its the muscles in your chest that they dont want to be moved more then the minimum.. and as for the bar finding one with out a wire that big too fit you right might be a little trouble but I say just have a drink or two and socialize!!!

Im sure your going to want to show them off Boobs so find a front hook bra!! Have fun and be careful....
