Raised Areola Incision
Hi ladies,
I was wondering how long it took for your areola incisions to finally flatten out and feel like it blends with your other breast tissues?I have a few areas that are pretty even with the breast but the majority is still a bit raised.

Re: Raised Areola Incision
Hi,
I am 6 months po and my right breast scarring around my nipples are still raised and red. It's funny because around the bottom of the nipple it's fine but more raised at the top. I think it's because of the pulling on the scar ie the natural weight of the breast pulling. I hope it does improve because my vertical scar lines are fab. xx

Re: Raised Areola Incision
The areola incisions do take a heck of a lot longer to heal than the others, mine were about 7 months post-op before the redness settled and faded to a light scar.
The scars up to about 3 months can look a lot worse at first before they get better, it's around the 3 month mark that you start to see a noticeable change for the better. xx
