Ive only got one breast implant now

hello, dunno if u all remember me or not. I came out of hospital last night after having the biggest scare of my life. I have had my left breast implant taken out. I went into A&E onto monday last week with a temp of 40 and got my breast implant removed on the thursday, I left last night with a diagnosis of surgical emphesyema. My boob was so infected, and i have been so ill and I am so dissapointed after spending 4,600 I now look worse than before. And not only that but I spend 8 days away from my beautiful daughter xx

Aw babe so sorry to hear this. a similar thing happened to a friend of mine she had a serious infection which they tried to treat but in the end they had to do the same as you and remove one for a while until she had fought off the infection and healed, (it was a very difficult time). She than had a re-op (to have implant put back in the poorly boob)

But I am pleased to say she has now got 2 matching happy healthy boobs so do not despair babe, its a horrible time but you WILL come thru it Ive only got one breast implant now 571992

Hunni, I know it's been rough and awful, but 8 days in the grand scheme of things is a mere drop in the ocean and in time hun you will get fixed up hunni and be happy and we are all here to hold your hand through the process xx

wishing you a speedy recovery what where your symptoms that must have been very scary!!! and as it sounds you can have it replaced when healed or do you have to wait a certain amount of time?

Was it a painful thing or were you just not feeling well? At least you found it early !! did they put you on o2 to breath? Is it kinda like regular emphesyma where its very hard to breath and gasping for AIR?

I'm really sorry to read your post babe, I'm sure you agree though that health comes first, I know that's no compensation to you now sweetness, but one look at your baby girl and you know it makes sense.

Hve you made any decisions about keeping the other breast?

Did the hospital say whether or not you can have the implant replaced or not?

Really hoping you're feeling much better now amysmallboobs, am thinking of you babe - stay strong! xxx

Amy, I am so sorry to hear this. We are all here for you sweetness so keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.
Infection is a scary thought, but Janeybird's comments must be really comforting at a time like this. You will get through it and on the otherside hopefully be even better!!

Oh sweetness, I understand how you must be feeling. I've had some very scary times with ruptures and dangerous implants. I can't imagine this has been as easy decision for you to make and maybe in time once you are feeling well you might decide to attempt implants again.
