460 Overs but only a D/DD???
I have been reading a few posts and am new to all this so feel like I'm being a bit dim but..... I had a 460 over put in a B cup and I'm now only a D/DD? They told me that was a large implant and that was as much as I could have put in. It's ok and I think I'm getting use to it now but I just find it odd that somone with a B can have the same 460 and end up an E/F!?

Re: 460 Overs but only a D/DD???
Hi hun.
As far as I'm aware it depends on what sort of back size you are as to how many cc is takes to increase a cup size, but on average it takes 125-150cc to go up by one cup size.
So a 460cc from a B cup would take you to around DD (150cc X 3 (cup sizes) = 450cc)
So it is about right hun. xx

Re: 460 Overs but only a D/DD???
Gerry by all accounts they can change shape and size, therefore requiring different sized bras, for up to a year post-op!!! I am planning on buying 2 or 3 bras at a time to see me through each change but not going to do a big underwear shop (along the lines of £500 or so!) until I'm a year post-op. Don't want to end up wasting all that money! xx

I don't want mine to drop! I know it was a lot of money, but I had so much lovely stuff before that I wanted to start replacing it all and I can only wear matching so had to have the lot! You don't get much for £500 these days! and as the boobs were a happy divorce gift to myself I may as well dress them up ;-)

Your breasts can change shape/size over the coming months. It takes a year to see your end result. I had 410cc from a 32A I wore a 36DD or D bra straight after my op, then when swelling went I wore a 34DD/E at 4 weeks post op I was measured at a 32F and at 9 months post op I was measured at a 32FF or 30G.

There is a good video here about halfway down the page which shows the stages of healing your boobs go through and how much they change [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Here is the Allergan Natrelle™ Matrix family of breast implants by Allergan. In this example, each implant has same diameter. The three key dimensions to a round breast implant are diameter, projection, and volume. The low profile implant is relatively flat, the high profile implant is the most projecting and the moderate profile implant is in between. Here, since the diameters of the breast implants are the same, as the projection increases the volume (c.c.'s) of the implant also increases.

Best start saving, they might change a lot. You can always sell the old bras on ebay when they dont fit. It'll give you some money towards new ones.
Re: 460 Overs but only a D/DD???
I got measured in lasenza at a 34dd but the bra was so tight!! also when i go and try on bras in this size they seem small, some 34's are big around the band (baggy by under the armpits)
i give up trying now, i brought some nice 36dd bras, that push my boobs up, but my nipples nearly stick out!! god knows what size i should be wearing?? x

Re: 460 Overs but only a D/DD???
Aaaargh - so confusing! Thank you Asda for your bargain sports bras and Primark for everything else. It looks like I have a year of changing sizes before I can justify forking out for the bras I want to wear.

Re: 460 Overs but only a D/DD???
Today I'm 5 weeks post. I have put a plaster on the scar and put a nice new sexy bra on! It's a 36D from A Summers and seems to fit ok!? My friend was over last night and she had unders just a year ago she has been wearing a 34GG from the op and never changed so I guess it just depends on the person! I guess I'm going to have a draw full of different sizes!!
