Overs??
Hello All
I have a quick question does having overs / under affect the overall look/size of the impact?

Re: Overs??
I think its said that unders give better coverage of theiimplant and coukd end up in a more natural look, especially if u have low body fat.
That being said, I weigh 7st11, body fat of about 18% and I had over's as I had furry Brazilian implants. My surgeon was confident I would achieve a natural look and I have. I think it depends on your surgeon, they should know best :) x

Re: Overs??
Thanks Jen
The reason I ask is i have seen some ladies with the similar stats as me and they have 375cc unders which look great, however my surgeon has recommended overs so i didn't want them to look overly big for my frame as I am only small

Re: Overs??
If I had gone with 375 I would be huge! Lol but they are different on everyone. I've gone from nothing to a 28 F/FF with 285cc over's. Under or over isn't going to make them look huge or not, it depends on the size of the implant. Maybe if yr worried about them being too big, go for the 340? Or ask if your surgeon will take both sizes on the day and see which ones for your frame best? I've seen quite a few on here do that :)

Re: Overs??
There's the popular misconception that you 'lose' some with unders, but that's a complete myth. You've had X volume put in, you'll be X volume bigger. Case in point, one of our old mods switched from under to over, and never changed bra size. So it wont affect the overall size.
The placement will be down to your body. You can be the exact same stats as someone else, but perhaps you have slightly more breast tissue, or a 'fatty' chest which is able to support overs. Others with less tissue will need to have unders in order to hide the implant better. There are other factors too, like if you do a lot of chest work outs, overs are probably better to avoid muscle distortion.
What I would say though is it shouldn't be your decision to make. You surgeon should understand your body well enough to make the best decision for you. He's the trained expert, not you, and if you make the 'wrong' decision, they will use that against you in the unlikely scenario that you need a re-op - you chose, therefore its not our fault. Please understand I'm not saying this to scare, just so you're fully informed of how quickly they'll whip your after-care away if its not air-tight.
If you're worried the implant is too big, definitely try a rice test. Its not 100% accurate, but its a pretty good indicator. Wear them for a day doing regular day things, and you'll soon figure out if its too big or just right.

Re: Overs??
Jen we share the same surgeon and his outlook seems to favour subfacial overs unless unders are a must. I was very surprised I had overs in the first place even more so now with 100cc more but I trust his judgement and it seems to work out !
I had 325 before and they looked nothing just very normal smallish sized breasts despite starting out with a lot of albeit very thin saggy breast tissue .
The problem is you will never know how they look till they are in you my sizers looked much larger because of the way I had very little upper pole fullness aLso I'm sure your perception changes over time and your boobs suddenly look small as you forget what you had in the first place !
If you like your surgeons work and trust them then overs are a good choice for you personally everyone is different . I would say most people who are unhappy with size wish they had chosen a larger implant but the larger the implant the higher the risks become which needs balancing out to your personal decision.
