slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
Good Morning Ladies,
I was wondering if any one who experienced mild droop b4 their ba feels their BA alone lifted their nipple slightly?
If so do u think your placement helped?
I've had small/mod sized unders and feel they are still slightly droopy (nipples low on breast) and I've been wondering if an over placement would improve this. I was also wondering if increasing the implant size would take up some of the slack??
My ps says my droop is too mild to warrant uplift scarring.
I really appreciate any insight, thankyou x

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
hi hun, i was droopy before, i felt a little saggy...and my surgeon said a ba would be fine...and three months on post ba, i have slight db in my left nipple and feel theyn r still saggy! i had partials. I think if u r suggested a lift, do it, rather then hav to deal with problems down the line. I see my surgeon this tuesday to see what he says, he hasnt seen my saggy boobs yet :( xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
Urg, I'm borderline too, but I don't want the extra costs/scarring of having a lift, plus maybe I'm a little weird but I don't want to be TOO perky either so I always figured just implants would be fine >< Jen would you mind if I saw your pictures? I'm going from about a 34C with a similar size implant to you so I guess I might end up with a similar result!
Contessina - I'd imagine a bigger implant would take up more space and lift your nipples a little, but I'd also imagine that because they're heavier they'll droop faster and need a lift sooner than if you stick with smaller ones, especially if they're overs. But I'm not exactly a surgeon lol, probably one for them to answer... ask James? x

Hi Girls :)
My pS says a lift is not worth the trade off 4 scarring. There's so many pros and cons.. am weighing it all up and ur input is very gratefully recieved.
Jen, your's are the only pics I've seen and as I said b4, your slight DB seems identical to mine. Have u seen your PS about this yet? As i recall u have a July appointment..

Would it be possible for me to see your pictures, also, Jen? I'm a bit droopy at the moment as well, and my PS has recommended 450cc high profile overs to help fill me out and perk me up a bit, but it would be good to be able to compare with what you've had done, and what you were like before..?
thanks xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
Just be careful and get a couple consults with regards to using change of placement and bigger implants to correct sageness.
I am sure there are some who have gone this route and been happy with the results but there are also a lot who do that and end up needing another op to have the uplift anyway.
The problem is, that using over placement is usually just temporary and using the bigger implant may fill the space, yet it is more weight and adds to the drooping.
I know that lifts seem scary, and we all envision the scars, but I think it would be harder to face months of being unhappy with your boobs then needing to spend more money and recovery time having another op.
I am not saying that biggers overs aren't an option, just make sure it is the right option and not just a temporary fix.
xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
Hello all, I'm very new to all of this and have had 3 consultations now, then I've seen 2 surgeons twice! I was wondering if you can help please? I have very slight sagging and have different recommendations on what to go for - one surgeon says mastopexy, two surgeons say no mastopexy, of those 2, one surgeon says round and the other anatomical!!! Confusing to say the least. Any information on how yours are looking now and what you went for would be great. Also, any pics would be amazing!! xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
This thread is 2 years babe and the members have probably moved on now lovely...
If you're undecided about the surgery plans you've already been given lovely then going for further consultations make help to make your mind up.
Have you seen a BAAPS/BAPRAS surgeon hun? Its always advisable to see at least one when having consultations.
This diagram may also help you hun... Anything from grade 2 ptosis would be a candidate for a lift
If you only need a slight lift with ptosis grade 1 then I've seen quite a few women gain good results from having an anatomical implant to help raise the nipple slightly. But I'm not a surgeon. A surgeon needs to take all your measurements into consideration before making that decision for you... So far it doesn't seem like you've clicked with a surgeon. If you had....you'd KNOW. You come away feeling reassured and confident lovely, so going for a few more consultations to find 'the one' might be the best idea for you hun. Xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
Thanks! I wasn't sure so thought it was worth a try, just did a search for droop and noticed a lot of people respond post surgery so wasn't sure. No problem. I did start another thread myself so will wait to hear back from some members. I'm Grade 1 at most so maybe an anatomical would be best - but I was hoping for some upper pole fullness too. The only reason I have been leaning to rounds is because of that, the surgeon was really good and I felt did a more thorough job of the examination and measuring up, but then after my second consultation I didn't hear from him for like 3 weeks and had to chase which I wasn't happy about. The other surgeon recommending anatomical I liked better but as I say the only reason for not saying yes to him is because he's said cleavage is created with a bra and not implant - but I've seen a lot of boobs pics and I can't say I agree. I'll carry on with research :) xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
Cleavage is solely dependent on what you have to start off with babe. If you have a close cleavage pre-op then you'll have a close cleavage post-op. if you have a wider cleavage as I have pre-op, then you'll only gain a cleavage like I have in my avatar through wearing a bra... So the surgeon you saw wasn't wrong hun. Infact I'd go as far to say that there are very few women that can get a natural cleavage without wearing a bra.
If the ptosis is very slight as you said and you want upper fullness too then in theory it sounds like there shouldn't be a problem with that at all... But maybe one more consultation would help you to decide which way is the best way forward for you hun. Xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
hi hun, i had a nipple lift rather than a full uplift would this be somethiong you could consider, and what about a second opinion with either a different surgeon same clinic or completley different place? Just another idea i only will have scarring half way or full way round the nipple havent seen them yet xx

Re: slight droop pre BA.... overs/unders??
Hi halo, how is your recovery going? I don't think nipple lift is an option, it's not something any surgeons have even mentioned so I guess it's not suitable for me. Feel like I'm not making any progress with my search and just going around in circles right now! Xx
