how bad do unders distort...????

for all you unders girls i keep reading about distortion and il be honest its worrying me,i currently have overs so ive never come across it.

how bad is it and does it only happen when your excersing or is there other times when the distortion happens???

i think distortion can happen to people who have unders or overs, but it is more common in unders as the muscle is on top of the implant. I wouldnt worry about it unless it happens. Its not particuarly common and sumtimes ppl can have it and not even notice cos its soooo minimal xx

I'd not read about anyone having distortion with overs as there is no muscle to distort, think it would only distort if you had CC.
As for unders, some people have no muscle dstortion at all, others may only get it when exercising their pectoral muscles and then there are others that may get it from opening a door or jar. It's just the flex of the muscles showing when you move, squashing the implant. I'm not sure whether a surgeon has any idea who can get it, but not everyone does. They do usually suggest if you do a lot of upper body training especially female weight lifters that overs would be better.

mine occurs when weight bearing down/pulling on my arms eg, leaning on my arms on a table, tipping a buggy up a curb, flushing the toilet! To various degrees. I would upload a pic of mine but picturetrail says no nudity in its t&C????? (can someone explain that pls?)

Major movements such as pulling myself out of a swimming pool/ lat-pull down machine cause the worst distortion and its difficult to see where my chest muscles end below my arms and where my boob starts ie no side-boob :(
I really don't think I can live with mine, I'm too nervous to even wear a vest top. I wouldn't be able to wear a bikini and prop myself on my elbows.
I can't believe this is so uncommon and yet its happened to me! :(

ps I'm not a body builder!! I just do the odd weights/push up to try to keep toned.

I get a bit of distortion but only when lifting heavy or pressing down with force, it only mildly changes the shape of the boob and it's mainly the bottom half so you really can only see it when naked and it goes right back to normal when I stop lifting.

Honestly it doesn't bother me at all, and I think most unders girls will have some mild distortion when lifting ect. Totally normal and not worth worrying over. Xx

i got it worse before my uplift. Now i still get it a little, but its not really noitceable. I can feel it more than you can see it

I just started working out again.I haven't noticed this happening to me and I have full unders.Mine have to drop more (especially my left implant) and I'm wonering if this will show up later on or would I have noticed it all ready?Geeze,another thing the doctor didn't mention prior to surgery.Even if its not common they should tell us this.....

I had this problem - my muscles had attached themselves to the implants therefore whenever I pick anything up or put tention on my chest, my boobs would spread apart - I also had C/C so that didn't help the situation. I have had revision now so hopefully it shouldn't happen again.

Was it painful?I'm glad you had the re-op and are doing good now.That must have been a terrible thing to go through!Did you get unders again or did you opt for overs this time?

Yes I did have quite a bit of pain with them - I stayed with unders and had better implants put in (originally had PIP's now got allergan natrelles) so far so good, its only been ten days and they are so soft and my muscles are really relaxed already and don't take control of them anymore, yayy!!

could u please tease tell me how this muscle attachment was diagnosed? I am experiencing what you've discribed.. boobs spreading on almost any activity (hoovering, opening doors etc) I'm so downn about it I've crying most days for weeks.

My ps said massage not necessary but when pushing on my boobs to create deep cleavage I've recently noticed massive movement of implant. Its quite scarey. Am waiting for appointmant 4 2nd opinion that my PS has arranged..
Do u get this? :)

When I push my boobs together I feel the implants move.
Its normal to have some movement in the implants, as they are ment to mimic natural boobs

Hi Contessina,

Hmmm...I can push my boobs together and I feel the implants move...it feels sort of similar to what I feel when I get mild distortion from muscle contraction or when I massage my boobs (intentionally move the implant up and down and side to side within the dissection pocket). I wouldn't say it's scary though! I think that getting a second opinion is a good idea!

It sounds weird to have 'massive' movement with your size. Hmmm.... I hope you get an answer! I am guessing that by manual manipulation the PS could predict whether the implant has adhered to your muscle? (That was sort of what I was trying to get at with my earlier question.) Let us know how it turns out!!!

ok, thanks, but my right, with manual manipulation (liking that term :) ), and to a lesser extent in a push-up bra, moves from being aligned at the bottom of my breast-crease to being a couple of inches above crease so the top of the implant touches just above where my arm meets my chest.
I take it this amount of movement is not normal? My lefty doesn't do this :s
This is getting to me.. whats normal and whats not.. last night I dreamt my implants dropped to my tummy!!

yes I would get that looked into, as I posted before I have some mild distortion with certain movement, but my implants doesnt move out of the pocket, it just moves within the pocket. Good luck hun with it! xx
