I'd second what Cooks said, there's a reason they ask us not to have a shower, because it can cause more problems than it's worth. I'd suggest getting an antibacterial wash, like those sanitisers, and use that. You can find it in your chemists, it's for people who have had surgery and need a bed bath.

i havent been told i can or cant shower and as i can never get hold of THG and everyone on here has been told from 3-3weeks difference for baths or showers so i thought for a quick 2 min in wouldnt be a problem i mentioned earlia the patches i have wore on top of the steri/and disolvable stitches today were sweating like mad, yet when i used the cling film for 2 min i had no sweat under it what so ever, so in fairness for me i would have thought surely that me sweating with the patches on for the last 4 days ( although THG never told me to change them but i did coz i think thats disgusting) would be a far worse place for bacteria to breed? esp with temps reaching 95 here ...

Gorgeousgirl you have to do what is right for you :-) yeah I've been sweating like mad today I bet my scars are nasty lol gonna contact doctor tomorrow to see if they will change my dressings as I don't want the bacteria to breed :-( it was 30 degrees in my house today xxxxxx

How come u can't get hold of thg?
My surgeon specifically told me I can shower fourth day and not to get the dressings soaked...however they werent waterproof though he wasn't worried and said put extra dressings. Though I put tegaderm which I got from boots.

OMG Thats GREAT.... Thanks for sharing with all us who die for our showers... I think before I have surgery!!! Im going to try this and see if I tape it if it leaks so I can go swimming in my salt water swimming pool!! You are the bomb!!! Stars

sequin im not actually under dolan park im under wipole in royston and they never answer and if they do my pcc is off sick or not in the building. im having a nightmare with them and its like they are avoiding me if i dont get threw tomorrow ill be ringing dolan park and asking to speak to someone up there even though i dont see why i should be having to chase people for my aftercare x lookout girl cookie and roxy have advised against it hun, but i did it for myself i didnt meant for everyone to go and try it ... please check with ur pcc first xxx

I saw` there post after I posted but im going to ask at my pre-op appt next week but that is such a great idea!!! And my doctor knows im a swimmer as well as a diver, and we talked about this during my consult because he ask what things i enjoyed doing..? ( I also asked him if the large implants would affect my diving? ( my husband and I do several trips a year to the caribbean for dive vacations. He said that it would not, but might get alot of looks from the men on the beach as he was smilin....

i am so relieved the weather is going to cool down... my BA is on wednesday and apparently my boobs are going to be TAPED down for a week, during which i will not be able to shower! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Wish I could attempt the 2 minute clingfilm cold shower with the weather being like it has today....but my bathroom is in the middle of being re-done n my boyfriend hasn't even finished tiling the damn shower yet! Booooo! :(

aw hun :( we was meant to get storms here tonight and it was like 3 spots of rain and its sooooo muggy wish for once it would rain to clear the air, but have loved this lush weather xxx
