Painful lump under boob-7 wks PO
Hi Ladies
Im new on this particular forum. I had my BA on 5th March 09. From day one I felt something was not right with my R. boob, in the place where it hurts now..
The lump is causing me so much pain I cant even drive now
or perform the most basic of tasks. My recovery is going backwards. If
my arm even slightly rubs my right breast now it brings tears to my
eyes and Im not sleeping. The lump is getting more prominent with each
day and hanging under my breast. It POPS out when I lean over in the most painful manner. This breast is also smaller and higher
up than the other, My 9yr old daughter was talking to me in the bath
last night and said 'Why is one boobie much smaller than the other?'
Out of the mouth of babes!!!
Im concerned there maybe a problem with the implant itself (if at
all possible???) or its placement as its been this way since Day 1 PO.
Ive emailed my PS this afternoon for some professional advice or
reassurance but Im in agony and actually regret my BA today  What on earth could it be??
Ive had boob greed in the past and complained about how they sit ect....but I
dont care about all that now, its just this painful
lump I cannot cope with.
I was feeling my boob this morning and it really
does feel like the implant has settled wrong. I had 300cc round mod implants but
I was wondering if it possible for Gummies to heal in a 'curled'
position if there was enough pressure, mmmmmm.... like a sponge folded
in half? (not the best analogy...)
This may sound daft but the bra they put me in was really tight (a
28C), considering I wear a 34 band it was TIGHT. I always felt something
wasn't right with my right boob, from day one so.....could the bra have
squashed the corner of the implant therefore pulling it down into the
wrong place? My PS emailed 2 wks ago and said to massage it but it hurts and nothings changed except to get worse.
Maybe im losing my mind but that is honestly what it feels like!
Sorry to ramble about a prob in my first ever post here. Thanks in advance ladies,
Lisa xxx

Hi hun,
welcome to the site. I'm so sorry to hear you are in so much pain. In my opinion it does sound like something is not quite right. I really don't think you should be in so much pain.
Try not to stress to much, you have e-mailed your ps, and i would chase that up tomoro. Book an appointment to see him, there is no point in delaying things. The sooner you see him the sooner it can be sorted out. It might be something really simple.
Just remember everything can be sorted out, and will be fixed. You can't go around in this much pain.
I wish you all the best, Please let us know how things are going.
We are all here for you hun.

Hiya Lisa, if the right one is smaller and higher it could be cc (capsular contracture) but your ps would be the only one who could tell you if it is for sure. CALL your surgeon asap and book an appointment to see him and dont take no for an answer.
Sorry you're in so much pain it sounds awful, hope you get it sorted soon

Thanks ladies. My clinic has just rang me up. I made a complete fool of myself and cried throughout the call but Im very emotional and weary with it all. Anyway, she said it was difficult to see what was going on from my pics, which is to be expected as its a feely prob not really visual. She my PS is back tomorrow and she will speak to him to suggest the best course of action. She tentatively suggested it might be a blood clot but I know it isnt but hey...Im no expert. She did say it sounds an unusual problem (that didnt help!!) and Im obviously in pain from my explanation and they would try sort me out asap.
She asked if I could get to London tomorrow, its 450 miles away!!!! I said Manchester would be better for me but the next appointment is 2wks away so she said what might happen is, they will refer me to see a GP???
So even though its still up in the air, at least they have got back to me today and hopefully I'll know whats happening tomorrow sometime.
Thanks again ladies, I'll keep you posted.

Hi Lisa,
Good news that you have been in touch with your clinic and they are going to help you sort this out - I'm sure you will be fine, just hang in there and make sure you ring them if you haven't heard from them early tomorrow! (Think it's a good thing you were emotional on the phone, that shows them how much pain you are in so I'm sure they will deal with it with the urgency you need..)
Good luck!

Hi chick,
I just want to say I know how you feel- I developed a seroma on my left boob- and I always felt that something wasnt quite right. But dont worry- just keep being persistent and you will be ok. I know its easy for us ot say- but you got great support on here. I'm fine now- and i had to have a re-op and walk around with drains so its does get better.
all the best and my wishes to you. Hope you get this sorted.xxxx
p.s if you want to see my story- i think you can find my post on here somewhere x

Hi hun and first of all welcome.
Please call your surgeon immediately as you are in pain and you need to know what to do about your problem! Most surgeon would operate on you again if something has gone wrong. Also check Elizea's after care policy, they are probably obliged to put it right.
Good luck and let us know!

Re: Painful lump under boob-7 wks PO
Ok, so Ive waited all day on tenderhooks for
Elyzea to ring, they rang about half hour ago. Dr Tondu thinks I have
the onset of CC............Im absolutely devastated! Cried on the phone
again like a nutter. Sue (who I have been informed is a surgeon by
Elyzea and Ellie-thanks hun!!!) cannot see me for 10 days unless I can
get to London which is impossible, Im a single parent!!!!! They have
told me to take strong painkillers for now, which I am anyway, so Im in
limbo for 10 days. Im so used to the pain Im not too bothered to be honest, at least they are not ignoring me or dismissing me.
My right boob actually looks worse today too, its sort of gone lopsided
now! I have really felt for those ladies who have had problems with
their boobs but you never think it will happen to you! I knew the risks
of course but its still a shock.
Anyway, no point whittering on now, thanks ladies for all your support.

Sorry to hear you may have CC, sending u a big hug At least u now have an idea of what it is, and hopefully they will sort u out soon...try not to get too down, it is a straightforward thing to correct, tho another op is likely I think if it is CC (ok not on your initial agenda but not the end of the world).
Keep taking the painkillers and maybe get some fresh air this weekend with the kids to take your mind off it all?

Positive news in as much as you now know what is causing your pain. I am sure it will be easily put right and you will be feeling better soon. Not much comfort, I know, when you are the one suffering, try and keep calmly occupied till you are able to have meeting
As you say no one knows who will exsperience problems, we can do our research and have the best surgeons, but there is no guarantee that they are the best or nature also comes into play. We are all at risk, and sharing helps us all, and support is a great comfort. Thinking of you!! xxx

Orr, mate. Truly gutted for you. You're in the right place in here, all the girls are lovely & will give you loads of support through this.
Elyzea appear to have a pretty robust aftercare policy, one of the reasons I chose them. I've read quite a few re-ops stories & thye don't seem to mess around - they just get you in and fix the problem without letting you suffer unnecessarily & fighting for your rights to treatment (unlike some companies I've read about).
The only drawback is your travel & hotel, but at least they're doing something about it eh?
Thinking of you, take care hun

Re: Painful lump under boob-7 wks PO
Thanks ladies. I chose Elyzea for that reason too Ellie, I am glad they got it touch but it has taken them three weeks, then when I sent an Email yesterday, I actually told them I was thinking of going to A&E/emergency docs and they rang back within hours. I AM glad though and im not slagging them off cus my previous emails were not that 'concerning', more on the line of PO questioning, so I can understand them thinking it is just a PO boobie fretter because every little thing that happens, we think its something wrong!!!!.
Paying the flights and hotel will be hard but I'd pay thousands to sort this out (if I had thousands lol). I actually came home with £400 unexpected change from my Boob journey which I saved to buy new bra's and clothes!!!!! Luckily I have only spent £200 (on my kids!!!) so thats a little positivity!
Anyway Im waffling now. Thanks ladies xx
YEAH, Ellie has boobies, so chuffed xxx
