What are the chances of me going home?
All,
my admission time is 3pm next Thursday, i was hoping to go in early morning and be home for the night, now i am not so sure.
what do you think the chances are of me going home later that night, bear in mind that i will have drains in and i'm not sure how long i will have to keep them in for.
Thank You

Haven't they told you, I'd give them a ring and ask, just so you know to pack extra if you do need to saty over night
Re: What are the chances of me going home?
hi misf1, no they have not told me in my most recent letter if i am staying overnight.
in my last consultation with Dr Liew he said that i would be a day case, but he also told me that i was to be there for 12.30pm but then my letter from the hospital states to get there for 3pm.
i'm not sure who to ring, mybreast, the hospital or the surgeon??

I'd silently assume you are going to need to stay in overnight. You are as you say being admitted very late for a day case, esp if you will have drains. However, if you are a day case and you aren't well/recovered enough to go then they have to keep you in, without any extra cost to you. They have to do this as it becomes a medical need to stay in not a luxury. If I were you I'd take my overnight bag and then you will be able to relax whatever.
Good Luck xx
