I need your advice more than ever PLEASE READ xx
Hello Ladies,
Im sorry in advance for this long post but I need your advice/opinions more than ever!!
I am 32 years old (no children yet) and I've wanted a BA for as long as I can remember. I have anxiety problems but I am not on medication, I control this myself. My anxiety always stopped me from getting a BA mainly because of guilt!! (I should just be grateful im healthy and that I don't have breast cancer...) etc etc.
Anyways, I finally decided that I wanted a BA for me and have my boyfriends support 100% :-)
Heard so many great things about Mr Traynor - MYA I went ahead and booked with him last month - I have only paid a deposit and I can get this back if I change my mind.
I went to see Mr Traynor last night. I liked him even though he was very 'to the point' - I walked in and he said "right take your top off and sit over there" he came over and said "you have beautiful breasts" I couldn't believe it, I hate my boobs and always have. I am a 34b and I feel as tho they don't have much shape and hate them during sex and can't wear boob tube type tops(!) they sag right to the side when I am on my side and look awful!!! Anyways he said that because I am only 5foot 2 and 8.5 stone he thinks they suit my frame and said there is nothing wrong with them.
I explained I wanted them bigger and he agreed to the op but said I should think about whether I really 'need' them done!!
Off course now this has triggered my anxiety and I am feeling more guilty than ever as a surgeon has told me he doesn't think I need them done!! So if I get them done then does mean I am selfish etc etc
Does any of this make any sense re how I am feeling?
Do you think that maybe if someone is more than an A cup he does think it is a waste of time?
I can tell you now that my breast are far from perfect but why would he say this.
Please let me know what you ladies think.
Did any of you get advised against by your surgeon.
Thanks so much xxxxxxxxx

I was a 32b before my b.a and my surgeon said exactly the same to me! But just because someone else tells you they are nice doesnt mean that you then feel comfortable with them!
I had mine done and i couldnt be happier.. they look more or less exactly the same as before but bigger
Your the one who has to live with them and look at them everyday.. if u think that this will give u more confidence then do it!

Hello sweetie and I'm so sorry you are feeling so anxious. Ok firstly take a deep breath and stop feeling guilty. We all have things about ourselves that we don't like and if you hate your boobs so much then you should consider doing something about it....however having a boob job will not fix your anxiety attacks, this is probably something deep within that triggers these and you may need to try to address that issue to learn to cope better.
I don't know what it's like to have boobs then want them bigger...I simply didn't have any so for me the choice was simple. I think you need to be sure that a BA is what you want. All natural boobs fall to the side when you are on your side or laying flat down and even with a BA you're not gauranteed to look good in a boob tube!!!
Why don't you spend some time on here, doing more research, learning about other peoples experiences and also taking note that not all the ladies are happy with their results and often end up having reops to try to resolve them.
Then maybe you might be more positive that the final decision you make be it to go ahead or cancel is the right decision for you.
Ps I'm similar size to you hun, I am going to PM you my details so you can view my pics. Please note I'm on my 3rd BA due to various complications over the years and the last complication being the very horrible capsular contracture. The first set of pics are of my deformed breasts due to this BA condition so don't be horrified.

i think they r kind of obligated to tell you if you 'need ' one or not. But they r not saying that you shouldnbt have one tho. If you wanto be a bit bigger....your choice. They arent judging you. do what makes you happy. life is too short!! xxx

I agree with the girls on this one. His opinion is there to be considered but its what YOU want hun, you see them every day and you know how you feel.
What I would say is that if your a very anxious person, the BA wont solve this. Thats something you need to deal with on a different level.
Best of luck and we're all here if you need us x

At my first consultation the surgeon told me that my boobs were fine and that he didn't think I needed a BA. The thing is the surgeon didn't know how I felt about my boobs and how it was effecting my self esteem. In the end I didn't go with that surgeon as I felt he didn't understand what I wanted rather than what I needed. It might be an idea to have a few more consultations and see what other surgeons say. x

At the end of the day it's a decision that only you can make, it's your body & it's how you feel about it that matters. I would just make sure that you are 100% before you go ahead with it though as it is not a one off decision - you will need more surgery at some point.
I didn't really have a choice as I literally had no boobs left after breastfeeding, so for me it was an easy decision to make.
Take your time, do your research & you will know when you are ready to make the decision x x

if your not happy with your boobs then you should 100% go ahead, everyones intitled to their own opinion, i'm sure your boyfriend has told you a million times that your beautiful just the way you are, but you still want your boobs done? and yes the surgeon has told you your boobs are perfect, but everyone has different tastes in boobs, some like them big and some like them smaller. it dosnt matter what other people think, its what you think, and like you said, you've wanted them done for ages, and more than likely you wont change your mind. you only live once and theres no point in spending it unhappy. maybe you could write a list of fors and againsts?

I'd go to two more and get consultations but keep the first guy opinion to yourself so you don't influence the 2nd and 3rd opinions. If you're self conscious and gave the money/ support then go for it!
PS Congrats on having a "professional" compliments what you have naturally !! Thats always nice to hear! And never feel guilty about doing something for you!! You don't gave neglected children or $4 million in back taxes and aren't paying your surgery in food stamps so do what makes you happy while you CAN!!

Having just met Mr T 2 days ago (and booked him) I think it just sounds the type of things he would say, I think hes great and he stressed that he will not do fake looking boobs/ augs that are too big for you. Sadly he didnt tell me I had beautiful boobs!! but thats coz mine are poo! ive had 2 kids and they have shrunk to nothing.
However, altho he sees alot of boobies, he only sees them n standing up or lying on back posistion. Being a man he wont realise the horribleness of when u are bent over and look down at them, or when u le on your side and one dissapears!
But at least he was honest to say 'HE' didnt think you should have one, means he wouldnt talk you into something just to get the cash!!
I am suffering guilt trips, but ive just got to remember, ive thought about this for TWO years and im never gonna suddenly decide I like the ones I have, so the sooner I get it done the londer I can have boobs I like

HI there Tracy2010,
My PS told me my boobs were nice too , im a 32/34 small B now and i have quite open hips so i look out of proportion totally, he said to me he was obliged to say to me that i was beautiful as i was and my surgery wasnt neseccary , then he said "off the record, u do need breats to level out ur proportions" so dont worry, they have to try to deter you to ensure your not taking the decidion lighty....
Dont feel guilty because you ,like all of us, are doing this for our own confidence and happiness... u come into this world alone and u leave alone ... One for all and all for one babe !!
Good luck !

If you are unhappy then definitely go ahead with it.
My surgeon has said to me that I have nice breast but he can see exactly why I want them done as I'm not in proportion but also said it wouldn't be the end of the world if I dodn't have them done, he will also only let me have natural looking but that's what I want and that's why I chose him xx

Good for you, its not for anyone else to say whats perfect and whats not. If you are not happy then why the hell not. I dont believe you will look back once you have your ba and think god I wished I hadnt done it, but I do think you will look back and think I wish I had. If that makes sense

Tracy,
I hope you don't mind me asking. How do you deal with your anxiety without meds. I have been researching ways to do the same thing. I can not say I am completely successful because I have started staying in familiar and comfortable environments to avoid triggering high anxiety and what I feel are panic attacks. I am hoping my anxiety doesn't get the best of me a the day of surgery. I have been so busy this week with my girls dance recital that I have not had much time to think about the actual surgery (next Thursday) and I am afraid I will freak the day of.
On another note. My surgeon told me that I had beautiful breast. I do not agree however I can see why he would say that. They are not the worst breast in the world and I can fill a 36b cup completely. The main thing is I feel they don't look as great as they should or could. I guess I am saying it is all about how you feel. I'm sure your breast are beautiful. The thing is you have to feel beautiful in your own skin and see beauty when you look in the mirror. How you feel is what matters most.

I can tell you now that my breast are far from perfect but why would he say this.
to be honest i think its very nice that he did say that; however i totally agree with immie, maybe they look ok to him when you are just sitting there... but the dr doesn't always get to see (or feel) in different positions and doing stuff and all those other times! //
so im glad you are doing it anyway and just be straight with him about what your real concerns are and what you are hoping to accomplish. //
