Been a while since I posted, but really wantted your opinions as I value them 10 Weeks Post Op, numbness etc 184153

I am now nearly 10 wks post op, and still finding right breast tender and very numbcentrally - not just nipple area. Left breast feels fine but nipple is still slightly numb but not tender like other side.
They look fine, and scars are healing nicely.
The other thing I am finding, is when I'm wearing a regular bra, padded/push up etc it's such a rellief to get it off at the end of the day! Feel very tender when I take it off although not sore and most days I'm still wearing my sports bra as it's so comfortable by comparison.
When I go braless, albeit for an hour or 2 after my bath at night they hurt and can't wait to get back to my sports bra!!

Hubby reckons I should go and get checked out again, but I have said that I'm sure it's normal to have numbness and discomfort for a while yet - looking for some back up here!

Hey,

Im still numb in both my boobs centrally too!! As others say, it can takes months for the nerves to knit back together!

I cant say ive been feeling tender in my bras, at the 6 week mark i made myself wear a normal bra to work but also took my sports bra too incase they got sore, they felt a little uncomfortable at first!! But they seem happy as larry, to be honest, ive not gone for any plunge, push up or padded bras just yet as i didnt want to put too much pressure on them too soon and i didnt like the tought of them being pushed out of their position too early on incase they stick!! haha (if that makes sense) Im sure tho, in time they will settle a little more and you'll be able to wear whatever you wish! The thing most of us forget is how long our bodies take to adjust to our new additions! frustrating i know!!

Mine are still numb on the nipples now, and i can feel some of the nerves healing now because i touch one part and i feel it somewhere else! at six weeks mine were still tender i could only just give them a little squeeze!! it was also a relief to get my bra off too!! but now im comfortable in my bras and theyre not tender anymore, so just stick with it... it takes time just as you thought!!!

Hey, I am 4 months po and still numb and sore at the end of the day when I take my bra off. I still wear my macom bra to bed and still have sore morning boobies when I get up. I had an uplift as well as unders but I think it can take 6 months to a year to all heal.

Good luck, hope they settle soon for us all xx

It took many months before I couldn't wait to take my bra off when I got home and chuck on my soft cup bra. It will come in time, it's all to do with the softening. I found when my boobs had fully healed and softened I could wear underwire all day and all night and not even notice.

numbness is also very normal at this stage. It goes quickly with some people and with others it's a long gradual process. It took a year for me of gradual feeling coming back. I do have some small numbish patches by my scars where the nerves were cut, but unless I feel for them I dont even notice.
