Re: August Buddies!
Hello and goodbye August girls.. I have had my op moved to September. not due to the antibiotics as I feared (for those that read that post), but due to my surgeon deciding to go on holiday! How rude! lol. So now I am on 9th September. Just to make matters 100 times worse my boyfriend of 1 1/2 years decides to dump me at the weekend... doesnt want to commit...and leaves me heart broken and now i cant even cheer myself up with new boobs this week as was originally planned!

As for my husband he keeps telling me that I will look fake n that I'm crazy getting this surgery done ... That everyone will think of me as fake.. N that I should learn to embrace my body n that boobs shrinking after breast feeding is normal.. But it's really bothering me cuz I lost so much weight they shrunk.. I'm literally flat.. I was a 34 C before... I'm so worried he won't like em after.. N he will c the scar everyday n tell me thAt they r fake

I hope he does cry too! lol When I lost weight i went from a C to an A and its awful isnt it. Why shouldnt we be able to get our femininity back! You ignore him and do whats best for you, as long as you choose the right ones they wont look fake, and what bloke on this planet doesnt actually like a nice pair of boobs! I bet he will love them in no time!

Do you have the strapping across the top of your boobs? I wouldnt worry too much about seeing your boobs in the first week, for me the 2nd week after getting the plasters off i noticed such a difference and waking up today they even feel different!

Mine were the same after breastfeeding. I have been trying to get really fit since having my second child and it seemed the fitter and slimmer I got the worse my boobs looked as they had lost all fullness and in a push up bra it looked like they would fall out at any time!
My husband wasn't that keen either, he said he wanted me to do whatever made me happy but was obviously concerned about me having surgery etc. I think he is happy now, he said they look good and enhance my figure but he hasn't said that much about them yet. I hope he likes them, I don't really want to push him to talk about it till after the 6 week mark when I know they are settled etc and he can give a proper answer.
Its good to know that the men are happy with them before surgery but I am sure your husband will love how they look after and the scars will hardly show! xx

Re: August Buddies!
Hey ladies,
Just thought I would say hi seeing as I haven't posted in a few days!
Big hugs to sweetcarol - some blokes are horrid! Oh well, onwards and upwards for you lovely, you'll soon have your singlesville confidence back and then you'll have new boobies which will make you feel fantastic! 9th September will come around so quickly and the more time you have to prepare your body the easier you will find it to heal from surgery. I cannot stress enough how much quicker i healed because of a healthy diet and lifestyle compared to friends who smoke etc...
Lauraswts - love your comment about having a pillow stuck to your boobs; i told you so :-) it feels amazingly supportive doesnt it! massive tip to all pre-op ladies...
My healing is all going well, went back for a scar check last wednesday and they look really good! the nurse gave me a reel of micropore tape so i could change it weekly, although I roped the boyf into doing it because it was all a bit awkward. I hit the gym on Monday for the first time in 2 weeks; I only did lower body gentle CV but it felt good to be active again. I have been walking 2 miles every lunchtime since 8 days post op which began very hard but is getting easier. Very happy that I only put on 1Ib since my op and thats pretty much just the weight of my new boobies! happy days...
I had really bad back ache which is pretty much gone now - thank god! so the only pain left is occassional aching around my scars which is getting better each day and my chest twinges when i go into 5th gear in my car so i try and use 2 hands or just stay in 4th!
Best of Luck to anyone due to have their op's in the next few days... you'll be fine :-) Best decision I ever made!! xx

Re: August Buddies!
Totally agree about having a healthy lifestyle etc - the nurses told me because I had been keeping myself fit etc that I recovered very quickly from the anaesthetic and would hopefully continue a quick recovery from the surgery itself!
Lucy4 - what exercise is ok to do after a couple of weeks? I was told no running or sit ups for 4-6 weeks (it is driving me insane already) but want to keep my weight down. I have put on 1.5lbs since the op but have read online that each cc of silicone is 0.0375oz so my 2 implants (375cc each) would weigh 28 oz (1.75 lbs) so pleased with that so far but feel like I am losing the small amount of definition I had already!
You look amazing btw!

The bra is from Newlook, they have some beautiful ones. I think they look so much better in the balconette bras, rather than the plunge ones!! Cant wait to get out with a nice bra on! These sports bra's are doing nothing for me, and i have a date tonight :-( lol

I'm having my BA at Transform - Abbey Pines with Mr Clarke... I'm so very excited but also so very scared as to whether I've chosen the right size??
I'm a very small 32a at the moment and I've currently chosen 300cc under muscle... I'm 5ft 4 and weigh 8stone 3... I want to be a medium C... I just hope this takes me to my goal?? Eeek!!
9 days and counting to have my boobies xxx

Re: August Buddies!
You can get some nice non-wired bras in Debenhams and they go up to quite big sizes (and M&S if you are a D cup or under), they are fairly low cut so will give you more options with regards to tops or dresses, my surgeon said after 2 weeks that they are ok for occasional nights out - obviously this is only his opinion so some surgeons may not agree! xx
