Re: August Buddies!
Hi... I'm supposed to be getting my surgery early September but I'm soooo scared.. I'm supposed to have it done under and thru the nipple.. Can anyone share and comfort me.. Will you feel like there is something foreign inside of you? Or like you are wearing a very tight bra ? Will I loose the sensation for good ?

It doesnt feel like there is something foreign inside, at least for me it doesnt...i didnt have sensation for the first 3 days but after that it came back. It so exciting and something you will not regret. Its uncomfortable yes but worth the pain and i would go through it all again tomorrow! Dont be scared, nothing to be scared about. everyone said the same to me before my op! Its worth every ache and penny lol xx

My scar is underneath and i have my implant over the muscle because i had enough tissue! The surgeons always know best..I think in the beginning u take in too much info and freak yourself out a bit, dont listen to the horror stories because they are few and far between! x

Re: August Buddies!
I've had a ba done before but not through the nipple, at first you have little sensation but that all soon returns, no it doesn't feel like you have something in your body, all I can say it's a great experience it gives you confidence, it's the best thing I ever done.... Just read the girls stories that have had ba's recently that will help you too xx

Re: August Buddies!
Laura you look great! Congrats!
I think we have rly similar stats and before and after size! I'm wearing a 34C sports bra but only because my incisions are driving me mad and are rly tender (!) but a 32D is where i think I'll be when the incisions calm down a bit.
I also got the 300ccs overs at transform 11 days ago :-)
I so know what I'm doing on my lunch break today (first day back at work) TRYING ON BRAS!

I was really worried about my incisions, the nurse said on Friday that they looked fine but there was one part under my right boob that hasn't healed as well as the rest (the rest is almost completely gone) and is a bit sore - I feel so much better to know that other people are still a bit sore around the same time (I am 10 days post op). The nurse gave me some dry gauze to put between the wound and my bra to stop it rubbing.
How long do the wounds usually take to heal?

Re: August Buddies!
Lou I'm not sure about the wounds to be honest. I just know that lots of girls complain about bras sticking into them, rubbing too much etc and they are generally a pain in the B.U.M.!
I also had one bit of my incision on the right side that wasn't closed fully after my post op on day 8 and had to have those surgi strips on (that have since fallen off).
A part of me just feels that these poor incision sites need to be aired and free from constricting bra bands yet we need to support our new additions so have no choice! the nurse told me that by week 3/4 there should be a vast difference in discomfort etc and they lumps and bumps will be disappearing too and by week 6 they will be flat. x
