Dreaded pre op nerves, questions etc Empty Dreaded pre op nerves, questions etc

Post by misf1 20th April 2009, 10:48 pm

Hello everyone, I am loving this site can't stop reading. Just wanted to ask a few questions and stuff, i do go on a bit, just nerves though.
I booked and paid for my BA last friday (17th) since then I have not thought of anything else, I'm sure my mum, O/H and friends are getting a bit sick of it by now. But I can't shut up. I've come on here so that maybe it will come out in writing and not to everyone else who has no idea what I am thinking, but they still can't wait to see the new boobies.
I have become boob obssessed. I'm looking at before & after pics, reading peoples stories, talking to anyone who will talk about it with me. Did anyone else go this mad? Is it normal?
Plus I am excited one min, then freaking out that maybe I've picked the wrong size, maybe they are too big, but I went with my gut instinct and I'm so scared of being dissapointed with smaller ones than the ones I have imagined for myself in my head. But I also don't want to look silly. It's so confusing. Everyone has different shapes and sizes. I'm a 34B andwant to go to a 34DD and i'm getting 410cc implants, now looking at some people's stories they were a 34B and had 300cc and went to an F others went to a D. I'm just so confused. I'm getting overs but am not sure if these will fluff. I just dunno what to expect. I do know that i'd rather be a bit bigger than a bit smaller, worried about boobie greed. worried about the sports bras I bought and stitches. I need to calm down, I know. But it's like as soon as I decided what size and paid that was it, it's finally happening. Theres no way in the world I wont go through with this, even though the possibilities of something going wrong scare me. I would rather try to get what I want rather than always wonder. I think I'm freaking out.

You two should swop emotions!!! I think you are feeling exactly like everyone... but it is soooooo much easier than you imagine it. Just keep asking questions... it is soo confusing and lots of decisions to be made... you can only do what is best at the time. Take care Hug

I don't think so, I had my pre op on friday with the nurse at the transform clinic, they just asked me lots of questions about my health, what tablets I was on, and my full medical history, they are also writting to my GP to get my records, and if they were going to take blood I think they take it at your pre op screening. I don't think there would be much point in taking it beforehand as it wont tell them anything, it takes ages to get blood test results back. Try not to worry. Good luck with your op, how big you going?

It really is confusing, dont worry about your pre op, I had mine and they just ask you lots of questions and weigh you and I also had my before pics taken. I wish you all the best, let me know how it all goes, I'm sure you will be fine on thursday. You will have the boobs you've always wanted really soon. Not too many more days of working yourself up. :)

Yes girls you are so right, the sizing is really confusing!! it really depends on your anatomy so trust your surgeons because they are the experts and have done thousands of ops before so they are the best qualified to tell you what size you should end up bu judging your bodies - although no one can predict 100% what will happen....

Just be excited about your op, and try not to worry - soon you will have new great boobies!

I would listen to and trust your surgeon as much as possible because they usually have a much more informed idea of what CCS different individuals will need to get the size they want. It's good to do loads of research and talk to other girls, but can make you even more confused because different people get totally different results with the same size implants! I'd try to not worry too much, I worried right up to the day and posted so many size related questions but on the day itself just went with what my surgeon thought was best and so far I'm pretty happy xxxxxxx

Aw, I know exactly how you feel I was the same way . Hug

I was so obsessed with the size I saw the nurses a week before to check the sizes and my PS the day before to check again! Screwy

If you feel you have really explained what you want then trust your PS as they have done so many they understand the mystery of different size implants and the differring sizes they produce.

Good luck cant wait to hear how you get on and carry on posting we are here to listen chicks.

I can relate to all your anxieties, confusion and general boob obsession as I am going through that too (got over 5 wks to go tho, not sure I can stand it much longer!)

I just find that going on this site and asking lots of questions and hearing everyone's stories etc (people who've gone through it and lived to tell the tale!) really helps me get everything in perspective and generally calm down if I'm getting uptight about it.

Trust your surgeon, he is the expert...

Good luck! x
