Re: 2 days post op
Yes sweetie for some people it is normal. My first ever BA was years ago but I was on blooming agony and really couldn't do anything and it took me about 2 weeks to get to a point where I could do some stuff. You've had unders so this is apparently more painful. I have always had unders so I don't know the differenct, but they have stretched your chest muscle....ouch!!!
Ok firstly make sure you keep your pain relief topped up every 4 hours. Drink lots of fluids and try to eat healthy food, your body is working hard for you at the moment so look after it.
Try to keep mobile as much as possible...potter around and bit as this will help drain the fluid that's building up in the boobs.
Hopefully you have a nice V-Pillow so get some rest as and when you feel you need it.
You will have good days and then maybe some more bad but with every day that passes you will start to slowly slowly notice you're improving. Please trust me on this one, this pain will soon be a distant memory and you can start enjoying your lovely new figure xxxxx

Re: 2 days post op
Hi Amy. I had overs two weeks ago and like Yetti, I was under the impression that under the muscle implants are way more painful and take longer to settle in.
I was in a lot of pain from the minute I woke up, and although I felt a bit better on day two, by day three I was back in agony again. You will find you have good days and bad days and my experience was that if I did too much on a good day, I would have a bad day next, if you know what I mean.
Just try and take your meds as prescribed, drink plenty to flush the GA out of your system as that will be making you feel emotional and depressed, and like Yetti said, try and move around a little bit.
I found the first seven days to be very mixed but hard overall. By day eight I was feeling a lot better but even now, they are still not quite comfortable.
Stick with it though honey because I promise you it is worth it and there is a ton of support on here for you to help you get through it.
Good luck xx

I am about week 5 now and really quite ok with no pain. I'd say after 2 weeks things get easier then still take things easy.

Re: 2 days post op
congrats on the surgery! i had immense pain for about a week then it became much more managable. my PS told me to rest, not to lift anything, just rest. so that what i did! i took my painkillers ontime, and they were ok, not great but ok. if i stood for more than ten minutes i felt faint and weak so i couldnt really get around much. i wasnt interested in my boobs because of the pain but when i had the stitches out at 1 week post op, it was all worth it!stick at it smile through the pain when possible, put your feet up and then reap the benefits when its all healed!!!

Re: 2 days post op
I had my op a week ago today and I think day 6 was probably my worst day. Having said that I came off the painkillers on day 3 as the codeine was making me really constipated (sorry to be so graphic, lol). Keep taking the painkillers for as long as you need to, I'm sure everyone is different. I'm still sore but today has been more bearable.
Keep your chin up hun, it can only get better and you'll have some lovely new boobs to make you smile.. :flowers:
