Post by lindsaylouise 3rd June 2011, 2:16 pm

Hi girls, im sure most girls feel bored after there ba, i only had it done wednesday, but feel so lazy and sorry for myself, ive been told not to do anything, putting washing out, hoover iron, drive... could i really do much damage by doing any of these?? i feel ok, obviously the odd pain now and again! not having stitches out till 11th so do i need to wait and do nothing until then?
Also got my plasters abit wet last nite, i tried really hard not to, is this fine to leave until the 11th or shall i go to my gp and get them to change my dressings?

xx

Hi Lindsay

Definately rest up and don't be tempted to do anything that you've been advised against - you can really do damage trying too much too soon hun.

If you dressings didn't get too wet I would say they would be ok, but if in doubt see your practice nurse I'm sure they'd change them for you no problem.

Enjoy the rest, perhaps get stuck into a good book and give your mind a workout whilst your body is healing.

Congratulations. xxx feeling down and lazy!! 204135

I made the mistake of doing too much and I suffered a week of pain after. Trust me hun, you don't want your implant to end up round on your back do you? So rest up and enjoy this little bit of restbite!!!! You'll soon be back doing all those chores. Remember for every bit of dust there is more to take it's place feeling down and lazy!! 571992

No hun, I would wait about 2 weeks and do light things, but a hoover is a heavy object so you wont be doing that for about 4-6 weeks. I would ask at your check up if you are able to lift your arms, or how long they expect you not to.
