Is there a big difference between 260 and 340cc? Empty Is there a big difference between 260 and 340cc?

Post by tracy2010 25th May 2011, 4:20 pm

Hi Ladies
I am so sorry to keep repeating myself but I am very confused about size. Here goes...
I have met with Mr Traynor and he has said that I can go as high as 380cc. BUT I want this to be as un noticeable as possible due to the fact that Im not telling my dad (but would he notice anyways) and I don't really want them to stand out too much at work as I work in a strict workplace!

I am currently 5' 2" 8.5 stone and size 8 - 34B.

I have made friends with alot of girls on here and I am loving the photos of girlies who have had 340cc. But considering that I only had in mind (at the start) 260 will 340 be too big?

I know you all say go for the biggest size etc and I totally get that but at the end of the day it can't be too noticeable.

Based on my stats what bra size do you think I would be if I did go for the 340's - Im having overs if that makes a difference?

Thanks so much girls, your advice means the world to me... xx

Not ALL of us do hun.

The biggest implant is definately not always the best option at all babe, the best option is the implant that best suits your wants and needs and what might be right for one woman might not necessarily be right for you, I understand that you may have liked the pics of ladies you've seen with 340CC implants, but don't don't expect to get that exact same look or resulting size from the same sized implant, even if you share the same stats also.

I'm sure you've seen some of us bang on about looking for pics of the size and shape of the boobs you like, maybe arrange another consultation with Mr Traynor and take some pics with you, as he works in volume (CCs) this will give Mr Traynor the best chance to know how many CCs would be required from an implant to get as close as possible the look YOU choose babe.

Having a visual that you can see, discuss and agree on is the best way to ensure both you and your surgeon are reading from the same page sweetie. xx

There is a huge difference between those two implants hun, so it's your decision on how big you want to go. I will tell you though that implants are easy to hide under clothes, I had a quite large implant and people I hadn't told didn't know I'd had it done. As cookie has suggested take pictures with you to show the surgeon the look you want.

I think 90cc is quite a difference - depending on your frame you are looking at about 1-2 cup sizes. You say that you are a 34 band width and I think for your height and clothes size you might want to consider getting this double checked by a bra fitter as I think you might be a bit smaller - a 32 max. If you are, then you will find that your cup will go up, so for example I am currently a 30F/FF or a 32E/F.
I highly doubt that your dad will notice, I haven't told either of my parents, but I don't think that even if my dad did notice my increase in bust size he would mention it out of sheer embarrassment.
380 may sound like a big implant, but it actually is not that huge (in my opinion). If you can have a look at one you'll see that it's not ginormous. Personally I think that your PS should be 100% on the same page as you for what you want to achieve. You want as big boobs as you can get, go for the 380s. You want to just look naturally full, go for something inbetween. And if you want just to look like you have natural, normal sized boobs go for the 260s.
The question I asked myself was would I be more disappointed if they were too big or too small after my op and the answer for me was too small so I went for as big as he could fit in! xxx

Hi girls just wanted to thank you for your advice. Flowergirl - it is good to know that you didn't tell your parents and they haven't said anything. If Im honest I would like to go for the 340cc was just worried about the whole world noticing!
I will let you know what I decide. Also gonna book another consult with Mr Traynor xxx

I had 260 and am now a 30DD am 5ft size 6 I think Pre BA i was a 30smallB I had Mr Traynor and he was very good with me saying the implant sizes he offered were those that would NOT look too big on me and out of proportion he was very vocal about this so if he says you can get away with 380 then he means they wont look out of proportion to your frame HOWEVER it is your personal choice with regards to how you look. Did you try in both size implants at your consultation?

Yes I did try both sizes on but I felt like the 340's were even a bit big! I think if he has said I can go to 380 then I should consider the 340's though. I think Im going to go back and see him again. My op isn't until September, Ive paid my deposit but Im still waiting for my date. So I have plenty of time to decide, but also plenty of time to fret and worry, arghhhh! xx

I will just tell you that Mr Traynor said i could have 230 or 260 and i thought the 260 looked too big but took someones advice (right or wrong) to go for the bigger size and now i am REALLY glad i did cos they dont seem anywhere near as big now they're in as they did that day so 340 does seem like a sensible choice given you dont want to look too obvious.

This is none of my business babe but your Dad would probably take you telling him a lot better than you expect i wish id told my parents before i had mine now, (didnt tell them till after) as they were SO much more understanding and supportive than i expected (considering their previous comments on cosmetic surgery) and i wish id had their support in the run up to surgery, and throughout my recovery x x

I can't help with the size issue as mine isn't until September either, but my PS told me the 330cc were too big for my frame so won't go higher than the 310cc, but definitely make sure you are talking about the same thing.

As for the parents thing, i have told my mum and she is very supportive, my dad is currently not talking to me over it but I know he will come round to it and frankly if he doesn't then that's up to him as I know I am doing it for the right reasons. I don't regret telling him if that helps as he'll get over it.

I agree with janey, you should tell them, you will need the support xx
