feeling the fear with 10th days to go....help!
I am ten days off ba and have started to have flashes of panic.....like my brain is telling me to stop soon or it will be too late to get out of it!!!
I have been talking myself in and out of this operation for 20 years now and I am desparate to maintain the courage to go through with it.
This is my first ever op too so am double terrified!!!
How do others cope with the fear?

I was exactly the same hun, I put it off sooooo many times and this time I just thought 'ok im doing it' and 2 weeks later I had it done I wasnt actually nervous until I lay on the operating table then it actually hit me lol although it didnt last long cos i was out of it a few mins later.
It is the best thing I have ver had done and i just wish i had done it all those years ago ... got a lot of making up for lost time now tho haha
You'll be fine, just think of the outcome

It's perfectly normal to worry about it all, most people have sencond thoughts at some point before their op.
I was having panic attacks (palpatations) when I was thinking about it, more so the GA and wonndering if I would come round again! I have 2 kids and was trying to weigh it all up basically.
Bizarrely enough, about 3 days before op, I felt seriously ok with it - came to terms with it so to speak, right up until the op in fact, totally chilled!
Remember, the outcome will be the same whether you work yourself up or not, so just enjoy it.
My op went very well, and seemed to fly over in no time. The GA was fine - best sleep I ever had in fact, woke up feeling great! And as far as my boobs were concerned, no real pain, just a bit discomfort.
You will be just fine, have you got someone going in with you?

It's absolutely normal babe
Try reading through some of the BA stories here, usually reading those brings home all the reasons why you're having this op and reading the happiness each member feels when they now have their new boobs also brings back the excitedness you feel back!
You have just 10 days to go hunni, this is the BEST part of your boobie journey besides actually waking to new boobs! Enjoy every moment of it hun, even the nerves! It's all a part of your journey that you'll look back and laugh about later. xxx

Thanks for the advice girls. This forum is so supportive!
I have my husband going with me and he is gonna stay in a hotel nearby while I stay in over night.
Had a big tearful heart to heart with husband last night and that helped. I think a lot of my worry was about how he would feel about me afterwards, but he assures me it will be ok.
I feel a bit calmer this morning so hopefully I can keep that going for nine more days!
Thanks for the wise words ladies. X
