Shrinking, rock hard boobs? Help! new pics up too
Hi girlies,
sorry for still being AWOL, still have no internet and using rubbish dongle thingy so can't come online as often as I would like :-( Once it's set up, I promise I'll be back with avengence!
Anyway, I STILL have rock hard boobs at over 2 months PO, is this normal? They barely move, even if I lie on my side. They don't fit into a bra properly AT ALL, I don't fill it on the sides or the bottom, but because I have extra high profiles they stick out and I have to get a bigger size. I imagine once they move they'll fill it out better? They don't really squidge very much, when I squidge them together, it's just my natural boob on the top that's squidging.
Also, they have shrunk quite a bit... I was measured a few weeks back as a F/FF but that's too baggy on me now and am fitting into an E/F now, and even that's getting too big I'm guessing I was still a bit swollen and now that's subsided and this is my real size :tears:
I don't know if they've fluffed or not, they have dropped but I don't think they've fluffed really other than losing the 'square' look from the first week. Please tell me the fluffing fairy will pay me a visit!!
Am about to put some pics up on picturetrail if anyone can comment on if they look like they've fluffed much...
thanks ladies xxx

Hi hun, I also haven't been on here for a while.
Did you express your concerns when you see Mr Sulaiman at your last check up?
I hope you are well and you feel better about your boobs. I think they look great, just remember what they were like before and it will make you happy again. xxx

It's absolutely normal to have a couple of rocks on your chest for a long time hun, mine actually didn't soften till I was about 6 months post-op, and again at almost 11 months post-op when I finally had full natual movement from my breasts.
Don't get hung on on 'bra sizes' babe, it is but a label, that's all, dig out a pre-op pic and look at yourself in the mirror - Is this the 'look' you longed for?
You're still very early days days in your recovery babe and the total healing and final result is still going to take some time yet, but as always if you have ANY concerns you should raise them at each post-op visit, ensuring everything you say is written down.
Hope things settle soon hunni. xx

Kirsty, still haven't seen Mr Sulaiman and won't for another month... apparently I'm not allowed to scheduled to see him until I'm 3 months PO? Seems like a hell of a long time but that's what they say :-( I might ring up Monday and see if I can see him before because I've had a few problems and I want to see him really.
Cooks, thanks for the reply hun. Glad to know that there will be some natural movement down the line... I have been thinking that they'll be like this forever I got some odd looks when I went swimming the other day. I felt like everyone was staring at The Immovable Breasts! PMSL!
It's not really the sizes that I'm concerned about, like you say a bra size is a size that's all, it's the overall look that is what's important, i'm just wondering why they're shrinking :-(
Boob greed is slowly creeping in, trying desperately to keep it at bay and praying for the fluffing fairy :-)
Thanks again girls xxx

Honestly hun, you still have some changes to come, mine actually softened quite quick, but then it's cost me a fortune in bra;s!!!! one minute I'm a 38c then a 40d, then a a 40dd......argggghh!!! it's like going from a size 10 to a size 14 and changing your whole bloody wardrobe!!!! I think I've just about settled now - anything from a 38c to a 40d....at least for now!!!!!!! x

Really? I wonder why! I see him at 6 weeks post op. I booked a appointment over the phone at 4 weeks. All went really well and he told me I have healed great and life can go back to normal can go back to all activities and can wear under wired bras. He said will see you next in a year, and that was it.
I think you should call again especially if you have concerns.
Good Luck hun. xxx

Re: Shrinking, rock hard boobs? Help! new pics up too
It's just clinic policy, nothing sinister, my nurse just said alot of people complain about size/shape before 3 months so they wait until they settle at 12 weeks before they see the PS. I saw my nurse almost every week up until 6 weeks, which I've been happy about.
Anyway, got an earlier appointment for 7th June to see my PS, which I got no problems about getting, so hopefully he'll have some answers.
Glad to know that it can take a long time for them to go soft, it's not just me! Does anyone know why this is? xx
