too hopeful?? Empty too hopeful??

Post by Vics 20th May 2011, 11:38 am

Hey girls! Hope everyone is well!

I may just be being hopeful but could they have started dropping after six days or is it just the swelling going down? My top poles were very cleavagey and tight and they're now soft and not bulging anymore. My boobs have started to move together over the last couple of days and there's now a 'v' inbetween them! The sides have rounded out but def still have more implant above the nipple than below it.

Could it really be this easy or am I imagining it?

Hey Vics

Although it seems likely it is just the swelling i guess it is possible that the implants could be settling already, after all we all heal at different rates and it could be that you are healing very quickly. Either way it sounds like your recovery is going well :good:

Your boobs will still be sitting quite high at the moment which it why you have more implant above the nipple than below it. The swelling could be starting to die down which is why you'll be noticeing the changes. Don't worry hun, try not to be too judgemental of your new boobs they will heal and drop when they're ready.

Not sure it could be but I'd guess its the swelling going down. My boobs didn't settle properly for a good few months and even now they change although thats probs down to weight gain/loss. x

Hey girls, thanks for your encouraging replies. I'm sorry I haven't been on here sooner but I've had an awful few days with the personal life and my pain on my boobs has increased daily. I thought I was ok to be getting on with things four days post op but judging by the pain etc, I began looking forward to my post op appt. Which was at 4pm today. The nurse wasn't too happy with what I've been doing. She said I've done too much, caused excessivete bruising, risked my stitches, couldve moved the implants and have to take paracetamol 4hrly for 3days as boobs r too hot, risking infection and have to come back in ten days rather than six weeks. Been so upset. She took the bandages off and showed me the bruising. I've tried to take u girls a pic of the bits I can. Very unhappy tonight xxx

Aw hun, I'm sure you will be ok, but you have to do as you nurse has told you and rest. No lifting and try and get a lot of sleep, as sleep is the greatest healer, this is when our cells regenerate the most. Did your nurse say you could take arnica for the bruising? Also try some ice packs on your boobs for the swelling and discomfort. It's very easy to feel fine straight after a BA and think we can go back to normal, just give yourself a few weeks rest.

Don't be unhappy Vics, sounds like you have enough on your plate without anything further to worry about babe too hopeful?? 571992

We all live and learn sweetness, you learned the hard way that when you're told to rest although you may feel OK at the time, it's rest we NEED!

Now you know the hurt it does sweetie you now know to take things easier and all will be OK. Look after yourself hun, although many might belittle a BA, you have just had major surgery and your body needs time to heal.

Sending a massive hug babe and hoping all goes well when you go back to clinic in 10 days time and also hoping the problems in your personal life have also sorted themselves out too too hopeful?? 571992 xx

Hi Hun

I think I was a little guilty of this too. I felt so good after the first week I kind of carried on as I was before the op just slightly slower. However after suffering pain and discomfort towards the end of last week and having a general feeling of unwell I've started taking it a little easier and already my pain is subsiding. Us woman aren't super human, even though we think we are.

Take it easy and you'll soon be healing well Hug
