After Surgery Bra to bed...
Hello
I just joined today cause I was trying to find some information on wearing sports bras to bed after surgery.
I had a lift with implants in November.. I still wear my sports bra to bed. I wear normal nice bras during the day and sports bras at night.
I always used to wear bras to bed. My boobs were so horrible and just dropped down to my belly button (not actually that low but almost) when i took my bra off so i never did it just upset me and was actually so uncomfortable. Because of this i think i have this fear that if i dont support them at night they will end up all saggy again.
I paid over 6000 to get them done and im so over the moon with them im scared anything happens or they ever go back to that way if anyone gets me..
So the long and the sort is.. Does it do any harm to wear a sports bra to bed 6 months after surgery or do you advice i try and not??
Thanks in advance

Re: After Surgery Bra to bed...
Hun you do whatever is comfortable for you. I know some women like myself do not want to wear a support bra to bed after a certain amount of time, others feel more comfortable wearing one. It really is up to you hun, you are going to do no harm to your new boobs in wearing one.

Just like a natural breast your breasts will naturally sag over time, if you feel your skins elasticity isn't that great and that you're prone to sagging then I'd personally do all you can to make the aesthetic appearance you have from your lift last as long as possible, but that's just me, I too invested a hell of a lot into my boobs and also had a full achor uplift and I'm gonna do everything I can to help maintain their appearance.
I do still wear my sportsbra for bed, I also use a kush (my lucky hubby hey! haha).
I don't wear it everynight, but most nights I do, from the reading I've done, I've found it's best to give your breasts as much support as possible and that includes supporting them at night too.

How can I prevent sagging in future years?
You can't.
However careful choices can modify your risk. Your breasts will
always change as you get older, and this is irrespective of whether you have breast implants or not. This is because of biological changes that occur with ageing: loss of elastin, stretching of collagen, atrophy of breast tissue, loss of skin elasticity, sun damage to skin, smoking related damage, effects of weight change on skin and breast tissue, effects of pregnancies and breast feeding on skin and breast tissue, hormonal changes, weight of breast tissue and implant weight and size.
The biodimensional assessment goes some way to reducing excessive implant
sizes being chosen by patients. You should very much speak to your specialist breast surgeon / cosmetic breast surgeon about this. The larger the implant the greater the long term detrimental effects. This is because of the additional weight, and the compressive force of the implant on the surrounding tissues, which become thinner, and more stretched.
Avoid very large augmentations (eg over 350cc) and implant
sizes that exceed your natural dimensions. Sub muscular breast implant augmentation
may provide additional support to the implant. Wearing a well-fitting
bra after your recovery is important (usually from 6-weeks). An
underwire bra is safe and recommended.
Wearing a comfortable sports bra at night is also very useful.
A shock-absorber type bra should be worn during sport. Keeping the skin
over the breasts moisturised helps to maintain the elasticity (bio oil
is possibly advantageous here). Avoid the use of sunbeds and do not smoke at all (both have a very detrimental effect on skin elasticity and quality, as well as micro-vessel blood flow). Maintain your weight in the healthy range for your body mass index.

I stil wear mine to bed sometimes, with the thought that it'll help avoid sagging over the years. Can't imagine it doing any harm. x

Re: After Surgery Bra to bed...
im always going to wear a bra to bed, but without underwire. if you wana feel a little bit more sexier in bed, then do what i did, i got a really nice silk and lace bra without underwire from calvin klein, and its soooo soft and comfortable and i feel waaay better wearing it in bed with my bf then a big bolder holder style sports bra!.
i wanto reduce sagging as much as i can, so im def gona keep wearing one to bed.
