Lucy4 wrote:Hi EJM,
Just seen that you had anatomical implants which is what I am having on Saturday, how are they?? any tips on recovery etc? How long did yours take to settle? Can you get a good clevage?
Oh dear, I really must calm myself down, I feel hyperactive today with all the excitement!!!
Thanks x
Hi Lucy4
They are great - they really make for a natural look - when i've shown people they have said they would never have known and thought i was born this way.
Re recovery just take it easy and sleep a lot. It takes about 5 days to be able to start getting about on your own, getting out of bed is tricky. The number one thing you can prepare is your bed. Buy shed loads of really supportive pillows as you will be sitting/sleeping at 45 degree angle a lot. So get some good dvd boxsets in too. It doesnt hurt really, the nerves are numb until you are well on the road to healing, so you just need to make sure you have someone to fetch and carry for you a bit.
Mine settled really quickly, within 2 weeks - if you pm me i'll send you some pics of b4, just after and 3 months later
Re cleavage, yes you can get good cleavage with a good bra, but it depends how big your going. I dont have whopping cleavage more natural pushed up mounds if that makes sense, which i'm happy with
good luck - your going to look grrreat!

Re: July Buddies
Thank you Rach, your comments and guidance are so helpful!
I have 2 dress options both with higher necks and detail around the chest to take the attention off of possible torpedo's boobs! ha ha!
I only have cheap sports bras so far because of the size issue and the fact that my surgeon will apparently be "strapping me up" for the first few days so I wont need a bra anyway. I will look into getting the one you suggest for post-strap wearing though.
I am collecting a variety of vests and boob tubes to wear after my op, i just want to avoid any irritation as I don't want to effect my healing time in any way!
Sorry, I know I am babbling on now but I just want to get it done and over with! the anticipation is killing me and I have absolutely no patience whatsoever :-) xx

I just PM'd you EJM.
Thank you for answering my questions. I have a brand new V shaped pillow ready and waiting and I have warned my bf that he will be surrendering some of his pillows if required - it's the least he can do! ha!

Re: July Buddies
the best thing to wear after your op is flannel front button shirts - not attractive but for the first 3 days you'll be thanking me - looking hot is the last thing on your mind

Re: July Buddies
One more July buddy here! My op will be tomorrow, 28th of July. So excited! Hopefully, I'll come back with C cups. :)
I'll have my surgery in Estonia (I live in Finland myself), 'cause it's a lot cheaper there and the plastic surgeon is said to be good. Luckily, my mum will come with me, 'cause I know I'm going to be so nervous tomorrow!
I noticed you were talking about that the button up tops are the best after op. I don't think I own any. Do you think I'll be fine with just some loose tees? Luckily, I've my mum and bf to help me out with dressing if I'm not able to do anything by myself. :D

I was told that 225cc should be enough for me to get C since I'm quite petite. It sounds quite small though, but I guess it's going to give me the result I want. :D

Welcome ladies,
I Have come to love this site it is great for info! I have a question for you guys. Have any of you had feeling like something was stretching and like a tearing feeling but with little pain then it passes. I know its the stretching of the muscle but sometimes it feels like its tearing.

Hey rach you had your b.a the same day as me ...your healing at the same rate lol .
Im pretty much back to normal now too.
expect when i have done too much ...the ' twins' soon tell me they seem to come up and say ' Boo its us '' haha so i take it as a hint to rest up for a while.
Having childern though it is hard ..have to admit although mine 2 youngest are 12 n 14 so they are very good my 12yr old son bless him pushed the trolley round the supermarket for me yesturday picked what i needed off the shelves put it in the trolley ,...then put all on the checkout and packed it and put it in the boot and carried out the boot and put it all away in cupboards ...haha awww bless him he's the man of the house he said it was the only way he would come shopping if i let him do it all ...he he i didnt agruee with him ...ok fine thats the we do it then.
Still sleeping sitting up though...i found if i lie flat on back the 'twins' dont quiet like it yet .
Ritey has settled down now ...lefty has been good from the start ..ritey didnt like the chest strap much but has got used to it ...we made an argreement that i would take the chest strap off for n hour now if ritey was good .
Seems to be workin .
They are going slighty softer on top not much ....no cevelage a such yet ...still like the gran cayon haha . xx

mio...hey noticed your comment about the grand canyon...I am just a few days different, and I have been noticing every day they seem a little closer...my lefty is still hiding under my armpit the most, but right one is definitely making its way front and center!
I do notice it seems I have my breast tissue BENEATH my implants, even though my nipples are straight forward, there's this littl bit of tissue that seems a teensy bit wiggly, where as everything else is taught and firm. Anything like this for anyone else?

Re: July Buddies
Hi Girls
Its great to hear how your getting on, I have 2 little girls age4 and 7 who have both found it hard not jumping all over me and not been able to sit on my knee Im hoping that within the next few days i will be able to start picking up my youngest again for hugs.
Im generally pain free now but they still feel kinda (period time sore) if that makes sense and also sore underneath nr the incision.
Im sleepling flat on my back ( hate it ) but not long now When i sit up in a morning and my boobs kind of re-settle it hurts but then all pain is gone again.
Mygirl - yeah i know what you mean i have areas on the top of both my boobs that is jiggly but its only a little bit as i really didnt have any boobs at all before the BA im sure its normal and when the rest of the boobs soften and fluff it will all be the same.
Mio- im not wearing a strap i had my BA done on NHS and they dont recommend sports bras or straps. My boobs are not sitting high on my chest tho but my boobs are sitting quite far apart. I can also feel alot of boob in the armpits is this likley to move inwards??

Re: July Buddies
Really they dont recommend wearing sports bra or strap ??? Wow thats really strange .. all the private places appear too. So do all the american sites and surgens that i have read recommend them. I would ask ..I saying that , cos my own gp did ask my i was wearing a strap.
He really did not have a clue at all.
What are you wearing for support if you dont mind me asking ?

i would check with your surgeon though hun cos some surgeons suggest no bra or sports bra at all! i think they are all different and they have put a certain size profile etc there for a reason and have told you recovery procedure for a reason! i wouldnt want to damage anything! iv taken alot of advice from this website which my clinic haven't told me but would double check everything with your doc xxx

Re: July Buddies
My surgeon told me to get crop tops although he straps you up initially. He didn't even mention a sports bra - said they're too restrictive.
I have gathered a collection of boob tubes, low/medium support sports bras, crop tops and vests with a support panel and I've decided to go with what is comfy once my strap comes off!! I like to be supported anyway but would rather do what feels the best.
Oh did I mention that I have 2 DAYS to go!!!! Panic!!!! X

Re: July Buddies
I think I'm over the fear factor.. once I paid my money I knew there was no way bk so you just have to embrace the positives. My only worry is being unable to do things next wk, I've told myself that I'm not going to be too bad so hopefully I'll be ok. I'm so hyperactive all the time so the thought of being immobile is just weird...
Oh my god, think I'm in for a shock when I can't lift my arms up!! Well, my boobs have 2 months to look good because I'm on holiday in October and freaky torpedos is not an option... Ha ha! :-)
post op ladies - am I going to feel horrendous on Sunday? Op is 8am Saturday morning? I need to know the truth... X
