Re: July Buddies
Oh ok, good to know you get antibiotics to prevent infection, I hear Arnica is good for bruising too. I will start taking them on Saturday when I only have 2 weeks until the BIG day!!! Research says they work brilliantly. X

Re: July Buddies
I was going to do the arnica thing, then I heard people saying on here they were advised only taking it two days before to two days after, no longer, and I asked my surgeon about them and he said its not necessery.
Anyway, I usually bruise like a PEACH, my legs are forever covered in bruises where I dont know how I got them.
However, I havent taken any arnica and there isnt a sign of a bruise in sight x

Re: July Buddies
Congrats miss kat.
You are lucky that you have your mum. I'm doing it solo.
How is your pain? Are you sleeping ok. Mine is on Sunday and I'm nervous. Can you move much? I have just changed all the bedding in the house and plan to clean the house on saturday and get all the shopping in. I have my 13 yr son to help me.

Hi missy im four days post op and was used to sleeping on my front so am havind to adjust to sleeping on my back also. My partner got loads of pillow and make an arm chair out of them and used a v-pillow to prop me up and its so comfortable!! My partner has about a one inch space to sleep on now bless him LOL!! For the first couple of days it was the worst but it is now starting to get better, hope you are well xxx

Oh no... So sorry to hear you're in pain! I would rather know the truth so I'm prepared. Think I'll be investing in a V pillow this weekend too.
Are you on painkillers and antibiotics Missy Kat? X

My pain has kicked in today, but its not agony or anything I cant cope with, its just a few aches and the pain killers have sorted that out. Just tenderness.
Its all worth it tho coz im so happy with my new friends!! x

Re: July Buddies
I am 3 days post op. I have not found it painful as such but more uncomfortable. It's been totally do-able from the off but irritating nonetheless! I found towards the end of day 2 was the pinnacle of the discomfort. Just feeling bruised and swollen now and itchy! x

Re: July Buddies
Was expecting my phone call today and was checking phone all day! When I'd heard nothing by 4.30 I phoned them and was told they were waiting for the list and someone would call later! Within half hour I got a call with the details.
Anyway, there you go. We're all systems go! One whole day of nerves and off to Bromsgrove Sunday morning, to get there for 12!
