New person!
Hello all,
I am scheduled for June 29. Am still full of doubts about the op and only this am decided to call it off. But I think I'm back on again with it now. My problem is that I am from the UK but I am based in Mallorca so am having op done out here. There is a bit of a language barrier between me and the surgeon and also many differences between what I read on the posts and what has happened to me so far.
I am a 36 A (possibly AA - never really been properly measured because I thought it wasn't worth it - there's hardly anything worth measuring on the cup front!). The surgeon is suggesting a 250cc or 275cc and they've got to go under muscle because of above reason. I have had 3 kids and breastfed them all for 6 months each so there is a sag issue too.
So why am I plagued by doubts? I think my main fear is that I will not like the result. I have always been thin and don't want to suddenly have big boobs. I just want to have a nice handful!!! But judging by many of the posts 250cc is a small implant. Secondly I am not telling anyone. Can't really explain why. My family would be most disapproving as would many of my friends. My hubbie is fine about it, although he says he loves me the way I am (sweet), but I can tell he is excited about the prospect of wife + boobs. So there is going to be a difficult month or so where I am going to have to lie a lot and hide. Boring. Finally the whole pain thing and no sleeping thing is freaking me out a bit. I LOVE my sleep and am hopeless without it (I also sleep on my front). Also it's going to be hot here and I am going to hate the whole sports bra stage.
Anyway - sorry - I've gone on a bit. First time I've posted and it looks like you're going to be the only people I can talk to about all this. I feel a bit far away and on my own.
Thanks for reading!

Re: June Buddies
Hi Miss Milly!
You might be a bit far away, but there are lots of us on here who havent told anyone except their hubbies. I've now told my hubby, sister and a couple of mates, but not most of my family. So this site will be a great help to you too I think
It must be very hard going with a surgeon when there is a language barrier. Are you sure you have got across to him what you are wanting to get out of the surgery? Has he told you what shape implants he will be using?

Re: June Buddies
Hi Milly,
wow lots to think about. The first thing you need to consider is
"do you trust your PS?"
if you do the best thing you could do is show him a photograph of the look you are trying to achieve. This way you will confirm that you are both aiming at the same results.
If you don't trust him, you might need to reconsider. ITS YOUR BODY AND YOU NEED TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE 100% COMFORTABLE WITH WHAT YOU ARE DOING. after the surgery its all done and you cant really change things.
Overall what he recommended sounds fine to me. A picture could confirm that you are having the right implants for the right results.
I would not worry too much that you are not sharing this with your wider family. Its your life and you should do what you think is right for you. So for two weeks you can say that you have a back ache or something. Your hubbie will help you plot.
I hope you do the right thing for you.
Good luck.
Nemi
PS 29 is a good date its my Girls's birthday.

Re: June Buddies
Hi miss Milly sorry to interrupt but the girls have given you great advise and I think if you are apprehensive at all to see another PS and don't go ahead with anything unless you are 100% certain with your PS!
On another note, everything happened so quickly this afternoon and I am feeling surprisingly great. Had a bit of an issue coming out the GA but think I'll do a diary for a full story. At the moment I've got this cold pads, like bra cups covering my boobs. They are almos like those plasticy bra inserts in padded bras you get which are filled with air but these are filled with water from a machine so they are nice and cool or to keep them
On over night! The pain at the momen is a dull ache and hasn't been bad at all, was out of sugary at 1.30 and back in my room at 3 had to stay in recovery for a while!
Thanks for all the well wishes and good luck to fried eggs tomorrow!!!
xxxx

Re: June Buddies
Thanks for all messages girls. My PS (Guillermo with classic greasy Spanish curls) seems a good man. He has been a PS for many years and trained in Argentina and Barcelona. I have another PS friend who assures me that he is properly qualified etc and he works in many hospitals etc. So I am sure I trust him.
However he hasn't discussed anything re shape of implant - only size. So will ask him about that at next visit. I know the implants are Mentor and from my research thet look reputable. They are going to be textured I know that too.
My main bummer at the moment is that inam going to have drains attached on the Wed and then stay overnight and then go home Thurs - still with drains - and won't see him again til Mon when he takes bandage off and drains out. That seems a LONG time compared to what most of you are having/have had. How on earth are you meant to sleep with drains on?
Any thoughts?
Sorry -am a bit self-obsessed at the moment. Good luck to all of you who are going in fornyour ops this week.
