Hello hun, all post-ops are slightly different, when i had mine the nurse cheked my assymutry, removed my steri-strips over my stitches (my were dissovable ones) replaced my dressings over my incisions told me i could shower in 2 days time then every other day until i went back (a week later) also gave me some padding for under my band for comfort. Said i was healing well.

In the same boat Jen........I had my op the day after you. I have my check up tomorrow and haven't a clue what's under the plasters lol
I went with HMG so may be different, but have realised that different surgeons with the same group have different ways of doing things.
Good luck with your check up Jen, I read your post op posts with a huge grin on my face knowing I was going to have that same GA feeling after I woke lol

I used Transform Manchester hun.
Your 1st post-op check will just be a check on how your wounds are healing and a peek at how you're progressing, any stitches that might need snipping will be done (you don't feel a thing) and based on how you're doing, you 'may' be told that all dressings can be removed and you can then shower, possibly also given some steri-strips to apply for a few weeks as the others fall off.
If the dressings are re-applied, don't panic! some heal slower than others and it's nothing to worry about and you may be asked to return after another week, all normal. xx
