I think i can feel my implant??? Empty I think i can feel my implant???

Post by tekarma 27th April 2011, 8:56 am

Hi ladies

Think i'm roughly 16 days post op & had my dressings taken off yesterday so when i got home i thought i'd have a good inspection of my new editions.

I have a fair bit of side boob which i love but when i feel my left boob (this one had tissue removed to even out assymetry) it feels like i'm touching a plastic bag filled with water. It springs back again & doesn't stay indented & you cant see any rippling from looking at them its only when you touch it in that place.

Is this because its early days & need fat etc to build up around the implant (left one is slower healing as its had so much done to it) or is this just normal due to thin skin?????

I did search the forum for 'feel implant' & all i could find was peeps saying they could feel the top of there implant where as mine is the side ;-)

I can feel mine at the bottom on one side hun, it is normal to be able to feel the implant a little, especially if you are small. I know it is a bit alarming when you first feel it but you do get used to it, and you may find it settles with time xx

It could be that they are still a bit swollen on the side. The worst of my swelling was on the side of my boob. It is totally normal to feel the implant a bit as the girls have said and you do get used to how they feel quite quickly, then it's like they've always been there and they feel like part of you.

Hi hun,
As you know I can also feel a little rippling in my implant on my left side and see it if I lean forward. It's also like a little dent.
I totally freaked out, I posted on here really upset and cried all morning to myself. BUT, I can honestly say it has got better since then. I think the implant need to settle a bit... perhaps there is rippling now and then the more the implant drops and fluffs, it fills it out a bit and the rippling reduces a bit.
And even if it never goes or gets a bit worse, they are waaay better than they were 6 weeks ago pre BA, so I have to smile dance
