hi, will i be okay to sunbathe topless by august this summer?? i would be bout 3months post op!! really hoping to be able to, didnt realise wud hav to cover scars STILL!!! if i cant, any tips on secretly covering scars so its not noticeble on the beech etc??? x

Hey huni... I got told absolutley no sun or sunbeds on the scar at all!

Which made me really sad as I was looking forward to being tanned and big boobed!!

My sis has a scar across her throat and herrs burns soooo easily and did go a bit brown and lumpy at some parts :-( but she now puts scar sunblock on it (don't know what its called tho babe sorry)

What did ur PS advice u?xxxx

No tips hun, you're aware that if your scars are exposed to the sun for a year post-op you risk the possibility of skin pigmentation causing a dark scar left there for life, or unless you had scar revision to remove it?

The only way to protect them hun, is to keep them covered with a good sunscreen on them too.

I feel bad being once again the voice of doom lol, but there are sacrifices we have to take that we just aren't told about pre-op are we . You'll still have a fab holiday keeping them covered babe and there are lots of GORGEOUS bikinis to emphasise your new assets! xx

I have been told to never ever expose my scars to the sun. Apparently they go darker and they will never recover.

Its like sunblock but specifically for scars (and I have a feeling tattoos aswell)

Sorry chick :-( its not what I wanted to hear either but hey even in a bikini the will look amazeeeeee! :boobchick:

Like the ladies have said, definitely no sun on your scars for a year or they'll go dark and stay that way :(
I wouldn't even trust total sun block on them to be honest cos you could sweat/rub it off without realising. Better to wait till next year. xx

I would wait a year to expose your scars and to be honest at 3 months post op your skin is going to be extrememly stretched still and thinned out on your new boobies so you will have to make sure you use a sun block or high factor all over your boobs or they will burn.

i dont think my skin is stretched that much, if at all cos i had lost weight so they were quite saggy before, but im soooo tempted...i no i shudnt tho! just gutted nope

Everytime you feel tempted Jen, just think of how much money you payed for your new boobs, how the six week recovery seemed to take forever, but how you did what you were instructed to do so that you could get the best from your recovery and a nice result... then think that a week or two of exposure on those fresh scars, could leave you with lifetime looking at a dark scar that could have been barely visible had you just not exposed them....

Just not worth it is it sweetness..... xx

Sorry hun but I wouldn't.. not for at least a year anyway. I know how hard it it when you want to get your new boobies all tanned but its worth it not to, you would be upset if you had big dark scars under your boobs for life!! xxx
