Sunbeds?

I know it says in the after care no sun bathing or sunbeds for 6 weeks after the op but why?? What affect would this have on your boobs? I'm 4 week post op and dying to get on there. With a bra on I should be fine? Advice? Xx

Its to protect your scars as they are sensetive to UV light from both the sun and sunbeds. It can course your scars to turn red and they may not fade so easily. Also as your skin over your boobs has been streched it was have an effect cos the skin is mega sensitive.

What I did was go on after six weeks but use a small towel to cover my scars and whole boob area. x

Hi sunbeds affects scars, they can change colour, go darker. U can use sunbed as soon as you want you just need to cover your scars huni x

Also forgot to say but you will need to cover your scars for 12months from the sun. x

Hey, I started using sunbeds after 2 weeks, I couldn't wait! I jst covered my scars with the eye patches xxx

I think you will be fine, just wear your bra for a while to protect your whole boob area, then down the track, just cover your scars until your ps gives the ok to let them out! x
