Post by Diamond2223 21st April 2011, 9:19 pm

Hi just a quick note to reiterate the good advice I was given don't buy too many bras at 6 weeks when your given the go ahead to ditch the sports bra. I brought a few ( well about 5 actually ) but today found out ( bras getting tight) I've gone from 30F to 30FF from 6-9 weeks and to all those disappointed with their new boobies size at first I was in a. D cup sports bra post op :-)

I agree Hun fab advice because after my BA I was in a DD sports bra then at 6 weeks I went to debnhams to get measured and they measured me as an E cup so I bought a load of new bras ( in the gergous range ) in a E then I noticed at around 12 weeks my E cups were getting tight went back to debnhams they messured me again and I was FF so had to buy yet more bras lol Flash Xx

Hope that happens to me too. Getting bigger that is. I bought a 34c cup that fit a couple weeks ago and now it is too tight. Got a 34d at lasenza that fits perfect. Only at 6 weeks so maybe that will improve too! :)

OK glad you posted this..... I am in a 32DD but it is leaving indents on my boobs. I can't be a whole cup size bigger, I don't think, and I don't want to go get fitted again because I am 6 weeks only...... I never thought I would have so much trouble with bras!

Hi,

that's really good to know. I went to the shops the day before my BA to have a look of what kind of nice bra's i will soon be able to wear. Now that i have read your post i know that i have to be a bit more patient.

Thanks for this advice.

Excellent advice.

It is very tempting to go mad with the bra shopping when you're allowed to ditch the sports bra, but bras don't come cheap...especially in the bigger sizes....so try to hold off. xxx

I was thinking at 6 weeks I will buy another sports bra in the right size if I have grown that is and 2 normal bras in the right size just for the time being. I thought I would get another sports bra as with having kids I run around a lot so thought it might be kinder to my boobs to carry on supporting them for a few more weeks
What would you further down the line girls advise?????????

Great advice sweetness!

It's soooooo exciting when you get the all clear to go bra shopping and you end up like a kid in a sweetshop wanting everything! haha.

But, things really change as your boobs continue to heal long past that 6 week marker, so it really is best just to buy the essensial and not the lot! hahaha xxx

Hi ladies, does this apply to the larger size implants, 525cc
Because the past 2 days my boobs have been hurting a bit right where my nipple area is and the bra feels really streched which it didnt before these past 2 days ?

Hi caz, how are you hunny?

As you know I had the same size as you. I was a e/f to start with but after a few months my boobs went up to a ff/g. Maybe just buy one of 2 bras if you need to but deffinatly don't go mad. x

Yes iv read that even up to 12 weeks they can change, i will only buy 2 bra's at a time one to wear while the other is in the wash. If they do go up a few cup sizes god knows what i will be as im a G cup now ! Lol xxx

Your 2weeks PO now right? I'm sure my swelling subsided by about 2-3 weeks cos for the first couple of weeks I was in a 36G and it was kinda tight. x

I hope this will happen to me I feel like they are a bit small right now. But I don't understand how our boobs will get bigger. Is it because it will drop or do they actually grow bigger?

I think it is because they drop, skin streches and they change shape. I noticed mine got rounder and fuller at the bottom. Glad they don't look like those shinny cones anymore. LOL!
