boob job alternatives?????
Hey girls. Sorry if this is in the completley wrong part!
I had my ba 4 weeks ago and its the best thing I've ever done!!!!
I know my mum wants hers done now she 55. But she's worried about complications etc (she had a breast cancer scare a few years ago)
she asked me to post on here to see if anyone knew of alternatives.... I heard somewhere (can't for the life of me remember) about some kind of botox to plump boobs up a bit...
Do anyone know of alternatives to an actual operation?
Appreciate ur help girls xxxxxxxxx

Re: boob job alternatives?????
Hey hunni, I believe that there are new Macrolane fillers available (like a lip filler for the boobies!) I think they cost around £1500-£2000 but only last 18 months and then you have to have them redone. Also, there's only a certain size you can go to, e.g. 2 cup sizes bigger because they are injectable fillers rather than actual implants going into your breast. they are handy if you can afford to have them done as a taster to see if you wanted implants or if you were happy to keep having the injections every 18 months paying that rate but they are expensive if you do not have the funds!!
There is a blog about the available on the mybreast website by one of their leading surgeons i think this is the link

Hope this helps! xxx

Re: boob job alternatives?????
The botox Boob Jab is Macrolane injections.
With anything there are risks with this and the results are not permanent and cost a lot of money. I think its about 3 grand and is supposed to last about a year I think top ups are around 1 grand after. I think its more for a small increase of the bust.
The breast can harden just like with implants, one breast could deflate and not the other.
And unlike implants the substance is not in a shell its left loose in the breast, I did think this was ideal until I looked into it and seen reviews, breasts can go lumpy.
I think the surgeon James on here is really against the use of this, I read from one of his threads.
I am not sure of any other alternatives for boosting the bare breast, I don't think any pills or creams work- perhaps rubbing some firming bust cream on might help stimulate the area giving a very slightly plum effect.

Thanks girls.
I'm going to look into these for my mum. And see what she thinks.
I know ther is a suction bra also but can't find what its called?
I think she just wants to explore other things before a BA.... Luckily my dad has said if its what makes her happy he's ok with cost (bless him! Why can't I find a man like my daddy? A real gentleman) xxxxx

Oh yes the suction bra! I forgot about that I nearly bought one.
Its called the BRAVA System, I am not sure if they have new ones out now, I think this is supposed to take you up about 1/2 a cup to 2 cup sizes size. you have to wear it for 10 hours a day for 10 - 16 weeks or something! - Might be an option.... I think they can hurt sometimes and quite a big bra thing to have on!

I don't regret my BA, but I have since wondered how I might have felt if I had been wearing the correct bra size (and I really thought I was!). Pre BA I wore a 32b, but my correct band size is actually a 30 - so perhaps I should have been wearing a 30c? Not strictly a boob job alternative, but psychologically it might have made a difference to my confidence

...Or perhaps I would have filled a 30b better and achieved a better cleavage... hmmm, I guess I'll never know.

Hi,i know of a girl who had the macrolene injections and to be honest she wasn' really impressed with her results. She did go up about 2 cup sizes but said they felt really unatural and lumpy in places. She eventually had a BA but had to have a sucession of scans to make sure all the macrolene had dissapeared, before her op,costing her even more expense.x

Re: boob job alternatives?????
I really wouldn't recommend macrolane. I had it done 2 years before I had my BA. It does not last 18months at all. It gradually gets burned up - speed depending on your metabolism. I wouldn't say I have a high metabolism, I'm not a sporty person and I have to watch what I eat to stay slim. My results lasted for about 4 months and they gradually disappeared from there. When they say it can last up to 18months, there only has to be the tiniest spec of macrolane left in you for them to withold this claim.
Macrolane has also gone up in price since I had it done. It's about 4-5 grand now.
A couple of other myths about it. They say it's pain free - it's not. They call it the 'lunch time boob jab' It REALLY is not. You can't lift anything for 2 weeks. Using your arms is difficult much like with a BA. I was also ill from the local anaesthetic and threw up for 2 days. I also have a scar from the incision - just a small circle, but they claim there are no scars which is crap. If you're being cut open you'll have a scar. You're boobs are also rock hard for about 2 weeks. Some girls boobs never soften and it can form into hard lumps that they then have to have another procedure to break down. There are risks and suffering with macrolane - much like a BA, except the results just aren't as good and it isn't value for money.

Re: boob job alternatives?????
I took some tablets called pueraria mirifica for almost a year and I went up to a D cup (or a 8DD in a water filled bra which I was ecstatic about) anyway I did what I was told to by many sites and by the company who made them and made sure I took the max dose for approx 6 months then you were supposed to go to a maintenance dose after wards which was supposed to keep them the size you were at.
Any way after a few months of being on the maintenance dose I noticed my new bigger bras were getting loose and my husband also commented that they were looking kind of sad again and I hate to say it they kept slowly deflating and are now more empty than what they were before I began taking the pills (I feel like I have breastfed an extra child)
So I have made the decision to save to get the bigger boobs I really want and to get rid of my yukky sad deflated ones.
