Lump under left breast ~ any advice?
Hi
I'm 16 days post op, from uplift in 1 breast and implants in both......I had my wrap removed on day 10, and I'm wearing sanitary towels still between the incisions and my bra strap as still sore.
I have just noticed at lunch today a lump has appeared under my left breast, at the bottom (outside of my bra strap) its squishy, doesn't hurt, about 1.5cm long and 1cm in width.
I've just phoned the RMO @ Riverside and he just asked if I had a fever (which I don't)
I'm seeing the Nurse tomorrow.......has anyone heard of anything like this before?
Any advice would be soooooo helpful - Thanks X

Re: Lump under left breast ~ any advice?
You did the right thing calling the surgeon to have the lump checked out hun.
It's possible the lump is a spitting stitch, this means the stitch is rising to the surface of the skin and it can start to appear as a lump at first, if it is this the nurse will simply catch the stitch and snip it away and all will be fine hunni.
Good luck babes and please let us know how you get on. xx

I'm sure it's nothing hun and just part of the healing process, maybe as cookie says a stitch or maybe a bit of rippling in the implant but you have definitely done the right thing xx

Is it something like this hun?
This is a lump that appeared to the end of my incision line, not 'on' it as you say, just slightly away from the line.
If it is, it's just where the stich was knotted babe, Mine stayed raised for a while, but flattened out with the help of Cica-Care silicone sheets. xx

Hi Ladies....thanks for posts.....
I went to see the nurse today and she had a look at the lump, she thinks it may be some sort of trauma, it has gone down slightly...could be also from my bra strap being so tight, as the lump sits more outside of my bra strap about 1.5cm away from the incision, there is no head on it, just a squishy non painless lump. Mr Khan is in on Monday, she said to monitor it and if its a problem to pop in on Monday.
I'm having no pain, so will keep my eye on it.
Thanks again girlies XXX
