SCARS
Hi Darlings,
Please, could you list for me (and other recentlypost-BA girlies who might be wondering the same):
~How long since your op (or re-op)
~What you scars look like (to you)
~Where they ended up (crease, higher up on boob, or wherever the incision was if not in the crease)
~What you did for them
Please?
Now that I can see my scars, I am thinking a lot about them. (I was so not worried before the BA, because I would have dealt with ANY potential scarring just to have boobs ~ smile). Since my breasts were tiny, my incsions are not in the crease right now, they're more across the bottom of my boobs. Just wondering about all of your individual experiences.
Thank you, Lovelies. Xxxxx

Re: SCARS
I have one that is on the bottom of the boob and one that is in the crease. It has been like that since day one. I was really worried about mine too.

Re: SCARS
I'm just over 6 months post op and my scars look okay now. They are sort of silvery/red and in the crease. At first they were very red, but they have always been very neat. At first I had lots of little pea-like lumps (4/5 in each scar I think) but now I just have one tiny bump at the edge of the left scar. I massaged for a while but to be honest haven't been great at remembering to do that so have pretty much left them alone.
You're very early days and it does take a while for the scar to heal and for your boobs to drop so that they are in the crease.

Re: SCARS
Oh sweetheart, you're just 25 days post-op, at the moment your breasts will still be sat high, as the breasts drop you'll lose some up the upper pole and gain in the lower pole of your breast, this drops the scar into the crease line and over time as Kittie said, you'll just see a silvery line where your incision was.
This whole BA process takes time sweetness but don't worry, the scars will in time sit in the crease. xxx

Re: SCARS
Thank you Kitty! I wondered what they would look like after the "stitch" look goes away and they begin to heal.
And Cookie, thank you so much, you've reassured me! Even if my surgeon had told me my scars would be neon blinking signs, I still would have thought it worth it just to have breasts. (Smile) But now that the strips are off, and I can see them, I've wondered what was ahead, especially worrying that my breasts had been too small to begin with to have my scars end up in the crease. You have given me hope!
It is very early, I need to remember that. They are still very high and tight and nothing like they will be but I tend to forget that. Thanks much Darling! (((((HUGS)))))

Re: SCARS
One of mine was always in the crease and the other was about an inch up on my bigger boob, I was very upset about this and didn't understand how the crease would end up in the crease on that side - but somehow it has, I can only see it a little from the side but not from the front at all. This change has happened in the last 5 weeks since I last saw my surgeon. I have been massaging (when I remember) with tananu cream and my scars are mostly flat except for a little lump at the end of one of them. It is early days for you, but we all know how impatient you feel for them to look perfect - been there, done that! xx

Re: SCARS
Had my ba nearly 2 years ago. My scars are in the crease. They are very small flat neat and faint white lines. I massaged them with bio oil for a few weeks then I tended to forget a lot. I also bathed with tea tree oil which aids skin healing. But I only bathed after 6 weeks when I was allowed.
Re: SCARS
Thanks misf. Flat, neat, small and faint in the crease all sound like something I can deal with. It sounds at times like scar upkeep becomes such a time consuming chore, so it's nice to hear you forgot a lot! Ha ha. But everyone heals differently I know.
Did you pour tea tree oil in your bath?
Won't do anything till I get the all-clear. :) Thanks again Doll!
