bra shopping..padding or no padding?
Hey guys had the all clear from Dr suliaman today and decided to go bra shopping as i only have my sports bras so i went and got fitted and was measured a 32DD which i am really pleased with but when i tried loads of bras most of them didnt give me the clevage i wanted so i got a few 'plunge with push up' from M&S that are padded but give me a really good shape im just worried that the padding might do something to the implant is it okay to wear them or not? does anyone else where padded bras still? confused at what i should be wearing or not wearing as the case may be and feel abit silly still wearing padded bras after having a boob job xxx

Re: bra shopping..padding or no padding?
Hi hun, sorry can't answer your question cos I'm only 2 weeks PO, but I imagine that most girls do wear padding. I know I probably will need to to get that push up I want. Most girls who are augmented or not don't have natural cleavage, and you need the padding to push it all into place.
How did everything go with Mr Sulaiman? Did he make you wear your sportsbra for 8 weeks and strap for 6, like me? Are you really pleased with them? I'm still waiting for mine to drop and fluff, but at the moment I think they are too small. Did you have this feeling too? Sorry for all the questions but it's really nice to speak to someone who had the same PS and is 6 weeks down the line from me :-)

Re: bra shopping..padding or no padding?
I always wear bras with slight padding, to prevent nipple visability lol. For a night out I wear padded bras or push up bras that are a size too small.
Re: bra shopping..padding or no padding?
I'm just a week post op and went for my check up today, the nurse told me not to buy padded bras just yet. But any bra is fine, as long as they are not padded.
So the best thing is to ask your doc?

Re: bra shopping..padding or no padding?
As time goes on you'll find it a lot easier to get good cleavage (once they soften and fluff), So you'll be able to wear both padded and not padded and they'll look great.
If I was you I wouldn’t buy too many bra's I went up so many sizes in the first 4 months. I have a few really nice bra's I got when I was 7 weeks post op and they don’t fit me at all anymore

Re: bra shopping..padding or no padding?
Hi,i know what you mean as i too felt silly wearing a padded bra after having a BA but then i realised that it was quite common to do so!,especially if you need bit of oomph. However be careful wearing them too often so soon as i found they did squash mine a bit and they looked sightly distorted in shape when i took the bra off. They did go back to normal though soon after and now at nearly 2 yrs post op idon't notice any mis shape x

Re: bra shopping..padding or no padding?
thanks girlies i will prob have to go shopping again and buy a few t-shirt bras so im not wearing the push up ones all the time.
flowergirl yeah i had to do exactly the same as you, went for my last check up and got the all clear from him monday so i can finally get back to normal and start showing them off, think i have got to go back and see him in a years time. Erm at first i thought they were too big because of all the swelling and then for a few days when they started to look more normal i thought they were too small but when i went and got measured a DD and tried on some push up bras i was in my element i love them to bits now i think when u get out of your sports bra you start to love them. time is of the essence im 2 months on now and mine look so different to what they did i will try and upload a picturetrail xx

Re: bra shopping..padding or no padding?
I only went for my one week post op and the nurse told me that I had to wear a sports bra during day and the surgical bra at night for another 6 weeks. And with the sports bra part of me thinks its looks at a bit smaller than I thought/hoped but when I considered that I am wearing a non padded sports bra verses triple padded bra and still fitting into my current clothes MUCH better, i am pleased and think that sometimes boob greed is as much a result of the cost and all the pain we have to go through than that we want something bigger
Once I get the ok to wear normal bras I will get ones with slight padding for the confort and the fact that I have HUGE nipples.
Hopefully when yours settle it will be what you want.
