Good luck! I was more nervous about having dressings removed than the op lol. The first shower is utter bliss - enjoy!

Ok, that wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. The plaster coming off was more nice than anything, like a well deserved scratch on a loooong time itch!
Thing is, I am not completely healed yet so still have to wait 3 days to have a shower!
Will I ever get to wash my hair?!?!?

Re: Getting the dressings off today!!
Awww, glad to read all went well at the clinic.
If you feel up to washing your hair over a sink or the bath there's no reason why you can't do that now if you feel up to it sweetness, you might need a little help though, I had my daughter help me wash my hair over the bath whilst I held on to my boobs LOL... xx

Re: Getting the dressings off today!!
I think I might have to do that! It's just I've let it get so bad until now that I don't think anyone would WANT to help me! Ha ha ha!
Re: Getting the dressings off today!!
Oh the thought of getting my dressings off fills me with joy. I have to wait 10 days though for some reason. Different soca have different ways., I didn't have drains either x glad your healing well x

Re: Getting the dressings off today!!
I am so desperate to get mine off... seriously. There is crusty old blood inside the dressing (not leaked out so apparently is ok :dunno: ) and it digs in. I cannot wait!!!!
I washed my hair over the bath today, it still feels really nasty, obviously in shock from not seeing shampoo for 5 days! and oh my god, i saw the state of my pits today!
How on earth am I meant to shave them without getting my breasticles wet?!! I'm EMBARRASSED to go see the nurse tomorrow!

Re: Getting the dressings off today!!
Hahahaha. I just had a shower even though the nurse told me i couldnt for a few days. I have work tomorrow and there is no way i could have gone without washing my hair. I thought "oh no, it won't be that hard to have a shower without getting the top front of me wet"
I challenge you!!! Try to wash your hair without getting your boobs wet. It's sooooooo hard!!

Re: Getting the dressings off today!!
Glad all went well with the final reveal. Why not treat yourself to a wash and blow-dry at your local salon? I know u say no one will want to touch your hair but just think how amazing it will look afterwards and you'll feel a million dollars too. The hairdresser will have seen far worse barnets than yours I'm sure xx

Great idea Sally! That's genius. Plinkabob, you must be feeling soooo much better. Funny how clean hair always makes you feel happier overall... at least for me. :) Good luck at work tomorrow sweetie. Have fun showing off your new best friends! Ha Ha xx
