Advice needed - After my surgery
Hi girls, wondered if you can advise me....
I'm having my BA in March (can't wait!). I'm a single mum with two boys aged 12. My friend will be dropping me off to hospital and bringing me home the next day. When I get home the next day, the children will be at school. Do you think i will be okay on my own at home the day after surgery?? Or will i need to ask a mate to come and stay with me for the day? When the boys come home from school, will i need help sorting them out? Or will i be ok with painkillers? Not sure what to expect after GA, never had one before!
Did you girls have someone there to help you after your op? Or were you on your own/with your children?? How did you cope??
Any advice welcome!
Thanks

Re: Advice needed - After my surgery
I cant answer about children hun but im guessing they're pretty independent at 12, I was fine the day after my surgery but still sore when lifting stuff and opening doors etc but everyone feels different after GA
I would say make sure you have everything you need such as fluids, food ready to microwave, pain meds, remote controls, mags etc all at arms length so you dont have to reach for things x
