Stages......
Hi everyone,
After over a year since I first came on this site , I finally had my first consultation yesterday. Very happy and keen to get things moving , very silly question now but.... I don't really know what happens next ? I think I would like a second consultation to discuss size in more detail and the day of the surgery, but then what is the next time I see the surgeon on the op day? Or do I have something in between with maybe a nurse?I am finding it hard to arrange things with work as I work office hours so an idea of how many appointments to be come would be great?
Sorry , this prob sounds very silly! Hehe
Thanks

Re: Stages......
Hiya Hun,
I had my first consultation ( just get to know your surgeon etc)
2nd consulatation (I booked the date paid my money and talked size and implants and agreed everything. Asked a million questions and was happy)
3rd appointment was pre op (mine was at my hospital they took bloods, weight, height etc)
Then my last was the day of my surgery!!
I also had a week post op for a wound check and I will be having a 6 - 8 week check 10th march!
Most clinics work in there own way but this was my experience!
Good luck hunnie it's so exciting! X x x

Re: Stages......
P.s if your happy after your first consultation, just give them a ring and ask them what there procedure is and how many appointments they do before surgery. Some clinics do late evenings which may be of help to you! Before I had mine done I had 3 consultations with 3 different companies and my appointments were all after 6 o'clock!

I had my 2nd consult and pre op on the same day one after the other. Then op day, stitches removed by nurse at 2 weeks, 6 week check up, 3 month check up and one year check up.
Re: Stages......
It depends on which clinic you are going with hun. Normally with THG you get to see a PCC (mine was very knowledgeable) and then immediately afterwards I saw the PS for a more detailed and personal examination when he discussed options and limitations. I then got to see the PCC again when I was given a breakdown of costs etc and discussed possible dates (but no pressure).
I thought about it all afternoon and evening and phoned her back the following day to ask a few more questions and then booked and paid my deposit.
I did get to see the surgeon again before my op as I wanted a bit of reassurance on sizings etc and this was arranged without a problem. The next time I saw Michael was on the day of the op. I had a pile of tests just prior to having the operation itself (blood sugars, height, weight, blood pressure, ECG, swabs)
