Hiya

I am 4 weeks post uplift/BA and my right boob will apparently probably need revision surgery as the implant is too far to the right, almost under my arm while my breast is empty at the front left.

I have been told to manipulate the breast as much as possible in an effort to get it to move over on it's own but have been told I probably will need revision surgery.

I'm told that it's a day case 20 minute op - although it can't be done under local anaesthetic which is a bit of a bummer.

Anyone had this and if so how was the revision surgery? Has anyone had displacement that responded to massage and manipulation alone?

I haven't seen my surgeon yet, but I too have an implant high up on my right breast, it moved a few weeks ago, but I am almost 2 years post op, so this is a bit disconcerting. I'm hoping my surgeon will be able to pop it back in, wishful thinking really. I hope you get it sorted.

Well my surgeon was really good and offered to do it within the next couple of weeks if I wanted even though I am only 5 weeks post op. However, he did say that the downtime would be longer if I chose this option.

He said I could wait for 3 months in which case the downtime would be minimal. He couldnt' understand what has happened as the implant is over the muscle - I think that he made a mistake with the pocket or something as this boob has looked weird from day 1. Anyway he's going to sew a stich in to make sure it doesn't go off to the right again. Waiting for Mybreast to call me to arrange a date for the operation in April. He will see me a couple of weeks before that just to check it hasn't moved to the right place but thinks it unlikely and has told me I don't really need to waste much time massaging it etc.

Good news he said I can do whatever I like in the gym from now on, even rowing so that's good. I am miffed that that the right one needs a re op but could not be more impressed with the scarring - 5 days post op and already barely noticeable. Absolutely fantastic.

Also now that the left one has dropped I am very pleased I didn't go any bigger. I can well imagine that a heavy implant would pull my boobs back down again and I am loving being perky!

Hi Soutty123, just wondering how your revision op went? i have the same problem my right boob is to the side im am 9 days post op and very worried about it, i cannot speak to the hospital until monday, i have not seen anything else like this on the internet either. I am hoping when they drop that it will fall into place if not i just hope its not my anatomy and that i will have to live with it because i couldnt cope as i look deformed. Anyway hope yours went well, if you get this message id be very greatfull if you could reply and take a look at my pics which i will put on when i figure out so you can tell me if it is like what you had.

Thanks Lylamay x
