30 C/D.
I got measured on Friday in Debenhams and the woman said I am a 30 C/D, depending on the style of the bra. I bought a Balconette bra in a 30C and my boobs look transformed! Not flat at all! Do you think this is really my right measurement though? I was thinking of going to La Senza too..

i knew you would be tbh. I knew you were a smaller band than you thought just by your picture.
Does it change how you feel about your breasts?

Re: 30 C/D.
Yes if the bra fits that will be your size. It can be different in each type of bra and in each shop so yes it could be different in la senza
Re: 30 C/D.
If you measure yourself and your a 30 back band then chances are they were correct, also if the bra fits then you must be x

I definatly feel happier but keep thinking at the back of my mind, surely I'm not a 30 C/D. I must be a 30B!

I got a 30C from Debenhams. It's a balcony style. It feels tight round the back and digs in a bit where the cups meet in the middle. But there isn't a gap between my breasts and the cups unless I lie down..

Re: 30 C/D.
its supposed to be tight when you first get it, and wear it on the outer hook, because after a few wearings it will loosen up.
If the wires dig in, its not necessarily because the size is wrong, but maybe that particular bra isnt a comfy one.
I do find debenhams own brand bras come up a little tight on the band though

It's a balcony style so maybe I should try a different style. I'm going to order some nice 30C bras from ASOS.. In your opinion, given that I'm a small size 8, around 5' 3", weigh just over 7 stone, do you think I definatly a 30C/D?

Re: 30 C/D.
I got measured again today, this time in Marks & Spencers and she said I'm definatly a 30D or 32C, depending on what is most comfortable. She said I could get away with 30C or D but a 32C fits too and they actually did!

Re: 30 C/D.
yeah i was gonna say that makes you a 30A/B, maybe youre pulling the tape too tight? did you measure round the nipples, without pressing down, at the fullest part?

Re: 30 C/D.
Sorry to butt in but my rib cage is 27 inches and around the fullest part of my boobs is 33 inches so what does that make me??
I'm wear an M&S 32A or a Primark 32B, they feel ok but are they right?

28dd Chicksville? It's similar in cupsize to your 32b but would fit much better round your back. x

Re: 30 C/D.
Chicksville, if you measure 27 you probably should be wearing a 28 back, maybe a 30. That would make you either a 28d or 30c. The old way was to measure your ribcage and add 4/5 (depending if an even/odd number measurement). When you first buy a bra it should feel tight on the back when done on the loosest setting, but as you wear it it loosens until you need to wear it on the tightest setting, which is when you need a new bra.

Re: 30 C/D.
I can never understand the sizes. I have never seen size 28 bras ever apart from trainer bras. I have no upper fullness so if i wear C cups i never fill them, so that makes me think i'm smaller. Some 30 bands are really lose on me so i take them in but then some 32 bands fit???
I been measured in all different shops and most have said 30B. I just don't get it xx

I've still not been measures 'officially et, but I'm in and out of DD and E's at the moment.....but I'm certainly aware of same size bra's being different - dependent on the store you buy from.....sizing....arghhh

Yes. Debenhams and Marks both said I was a 30D or 32C if the 30 feels too tight. I bought a 30D bra in Marks & Spencer today and it fits perfectly. It even gives me a bit of a cleavage. Surely I must be around a 30D?
