I had my BA done on 3rd Feb (2 days post op) and was just hoping you could advise me on the following :-

My stomach is swollen and hard (I look about 5 mths pregnant) is this normal?

Also can anyone advise when the tightness/pain will subside, constantly having pain killers and difficulty getting in and out of bed and also when walking I am walking hunched and slow.

Thx

Hi,
Yep I'm afraid the swollen tum, heavy/tight chest and walking like the hunchback of notredame is quite normal. Try yr best to straighten whilst walking. I used to find holding mine while getting out if bed relieved the heaviness/pain......it's all worth it. Things will improve in a week or so.....

Congrats on yr BA, I hope I'll enjoy n love them xxxxx

Agree with tonic, it's all normal and does get better after a couple of weeks, try to stand tall or you will get back ache.

Hiya I am a couple of days ahead of you and have just felt better today. I have three kids so have not had much chance to rest to be honest! I started only taking ibuprofen yesterday as the meds prescribed were making me sleep too much. I am glad you said about looking pregnant as I look awful, worse than normal so not impressed lol! I found last night I started managing to get out of bed easier too. I also had overs xx

I'm 10 days post op and day 3 back at work. My belly puffed up quite a bit but also found the pandadol forte blocked me up a little bit so I stopped taking them asap...All is back to normal working order now. Tramedol made me feel a bit scattered but I've only had normal panadol since Wednesday or Thursday.

I think all of the above is normal Charlie. Rest up as much as possible.

Xx

Thx, feeling alittle better now after your comments, and to be honest each day i'm feeling less pain and getting more movement. Hoping to return to work on Thursday but if tum doesn't go down might leave it a little longer, don't want to go back with tum bigger than new boobies lol x
