Veiny boobs!
I had my BA friday and they're still very swollen. I noticed yesterday though that my veins have become really prominent, similar to when I was breastfeeding, all over my boobs, and a greeny colour.
Please someone tell me they'll go away shortly!!!!! They're freaking me out!!! xx

Re: Veiny boobs!
More seriously, they should slowly diminish. That area has had major trauma (at least that's how the body's immune system sees it) and it will be pumping a lot of blood and platelets to that area in an attempt to repair it. However, as the body learns to accept these 'foreign objects' (what a way to describe our lovely boobies), things will slowly start to revert back to normal.
Don't panic, it's all part of the natural healing process.

Re: Veiny boobs!
Thanks girls, I hope they go! I've got an awful feeling though, as they were this big when I breastfed too and back then, the veins I had then stayed on my boobs the whole time too, bad times!! I was soo happy with them too, they were perfect!!! I really do hope they disappear!! x

Yeah I prob will fake tan it up when I can stand to actually touch them!!! , it's weird though cos I'm mixed race, I wouldn't have thought they would have popped up, pesky things. Maybe when the sweling's gone down they might chill out a bit!!! x

Don't mean to sound negative. But there was this woman i served at work once. We were convinced her boobs were fake. Full and round. They looked great but i did notice I could see an A-Z on her boobs. I read that as the skin is stretched they can become more visible. Bare in mind I don't know how long she'd had her BA for. she could have been quite fresh.

Re: Veiny boobs!
Hi
My veins have come up on my right boob which seems to have the most trauma. This one is taking longer to heal. They didn`t appear till about week 5 and are mainley around my nipples. I`m afraid i dont think they will go. Looks to me as the stretched and thiner skin has just made them surface i think thats just what can happen?. I`ve seen ladies with natural large boobs with load of veins so i`ve just assumed thats the way it is. If they do go for me great but if not just having lovely big boobies is worth it lol (hope they do go for both of us though) xxx

Re: Veiny boobs!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they won't necessarily disappear completely. My boobs are still very veiny. I'm sure in a lot of instances they do fade - my ps said initially that the prominant veins were due to swelling - but mine haven't. xx

Thanks for all the info girls, seems it's 50/50 whether they'll go or not judging by your comments so far. If anyone else has experience of this I'd love to hear what you think too. Veiny boobs is a small price to pay for beautiful boobies I suppose x

Re: Veiny boobs!
I can't believe how mobile you are hun... it sounds like you stayed up late making all those frozen dinners for no reason now!!!
I know what you mean about the veiny boobs during breastfeeding. Mine were ridiculous... I hadn't thought this might occur again after surgery though. I thought that it was due to extra blood flow to the area, due to the boobies doing so much work during breastfeeding!
Perhaps after your BA its simply down to the healing process? You know... extra blood to the area to provide oxygen and nutrients in order for your boobs to recover?
I'm no medical expert though!! I did biology at A-level but I can't say that it was a subject we ever discussed!! Lol

hi, im nearly 3 months post op and my vein's are still prominent and i was never veiny before. its quite weird lol, but dont worry as i'm sure your body will settle eventually, i suppose depends on your body type, i.e when i have blood my veins are quite close to the surface so they don't have to poke around. I suppose as the implant has been put under the skin, its forced the veins to the surface and may settle when your body is fully used to them. I've been told that my boobs wont be normal for up to 18months. its only now that i have feeling in 1 nipple and its mega sensitive!!!! fingers crossed for you hun xxx

They're not too bad, I mustn't grumble. I haven't fake tanned for ages so will try that when I can bear it. Seeing James on Tuesday so will ask him then although I had a peek at them today and they seem less green, that's got to be a good thing!!! x

Re: Veiny boobs!
I've just had mine done and I can totally see my veins on my boobs. But my skin is quite tight so it sort of feels like my veins should be showing. if you know what i mean. Like, with the sensation I'm having with my breasts now, if my veins weren't showing I'd probably think I didn't have any veins at all lol. They've been pushed right to the surface!
