Sore, erect, sensitive Nipples
Hi Guys
New to this site
I am day 9 after my BA and I have one big bood than the other, which after reading this site seems quite common, but any advice on what to do with my sore, erect and extremely sensitive nipples. I have used vaseline, tried silcone nipple protectors but they are still throbbing. OUCH!!!
Has anyone else had this problem
Thanks

Re: Sore, erect, sensitive Nipples
Hi hun, a lot of the girls who suffered from hypersensitity used either cotton wool balls or very soft make up remover pads as any rubbing from the inside of their bras was causing a lot of the pain. Unfortunately I was the opposite and suffered numbness - just hoping that they will regain their former sensitivity in due course.

Thanks Melloumaw and Carol
Have tried the cotton balls, and where my nipples are so erect they push them inwards and make it sore.
Will give the gel a go, sounds good and will keep you informed.
Love this site!!!! Its like one big cuddle lol!

I used cotton pads rather than cotton balls and found they helped a lot. I also moisturised my nipples a lot, even though I couldn't bear to touch them lol

Hi Kittie
Yeah sorry meant pads not balls, just been to the chemist and they have given me hydrocortisone cream 1% to try, can only use it for a week, it just means I can still take iburfen tablets as well for pain relief, you cant use the gel and tablets together.
So hopefully itll work...

Re: Sore, erect, sensitive Nipples
If you're really suffering, then Johnsons do breast pads for breastfeeding mothers - they have a nipple indent built into them, so they won't press on the nipple so much to cause pain!
It's just a thought!

I bought a load of breast pads from Tesco for £1.79
I am having my nipple done (inversion) so I thought it would be good to give it some help.

Hi Sugaura98,
Did u have unders or overs? My implants were overs and i am suffering exacly the same "pains" as yourself. My nipples are so sore its hard to bear. I'm almost 3 wks post op and only now have the pains started. Also my nipples are erect? does anyone know why that is? as the insertion site was on the crease of my breast. Anyways i feel a little better to know that im not suffering alone hun and i hope things settle down for you and me both!

Re: Sore, erect, sensitive Nipples
Thanks Jellytot, Shorty, will try the pads
Justme, I went to the surgeon yesterday and he said it is where the nerve has been stretch to the nipple, some people start with numbness and then sensitivity or like me straight into bloody Ouch!!!! He said it will get better with time. If it wasnt so sore I would be proud of my erect nipples lol! I do think that the hydrocortisone cream 1% is working for me although I can only use it for a week, so it better not come back with a vengence .
I had unders and my right one is still bigger than my left. My muscle is still so tight, so doing loads of massage to try and relax the muscle, have to go back in 3 weeks.
I will keep you posted on how I get on with the pads. Hope yours gets better hun, god I am glad for this forum, dont know about you but its like a big hug knowing that other people have to same problems
